GAZA, (PIC)-- Head of the Palestinian authority of crossings and borders Ghazi Hamad said that the Rafah border crossing would be reopened before passengers who need to leave Gaza for Egypt next Tuesday.
In a press release, Hamad added that an average of 300 passengers everyday would be allowed in Egypt, noting that the authority started Sunday to register the citizens who need to travel for urgent reasons.
He noted that the registration would be at the Rafah terminal in Gaza, affirming that this measure would be temporary until the crossing is normally opened.
The Egyptian authorities on Friday opened Rafah crossing to allow the Palestinians stranded in Egypt to enter Gaza after a 20-day closure as a result of the popular revolution that ousted Hosni Mubarak.
