Stepped Down: ‘If Omar Suleiman makes grab for power he’s more stupid than Mubarak’
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak finally stepped down and handed power to the military, according to the country’s Vice-President Omar Suleiman. It comes after more than two weeks of mass uprisings and protests in the country, which has been accompanied by a wave of violent clashes between pro and anti government protesters, resulting in the deaths of 300 protesters. Yvonne Ridley, British activist and journalist was interviewed on RT.
“The people are determined to get every member of this current brutal Regime out…” observes Yvonne Ridley.
When asked what are the implications for the rest of the Middle East?
She continued, “…well when the people lead, their leaders better listen…or they will become irrelevant…”
A solemn warning to all dictators out there who think Might is Right, ‘Today the Power is with the People,’ she concluded.
