DAMASCUS, (PIC)-- Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mohamed Nazzal said that de facto president Mahmoud Abbas and his entourage seems to have not grasped the lesson after the downfall of their allies from the tyrannical Arab regimes.
Nazzal in a press release on Saturday stated that Abbas circumvented premier Ismail Haneyya’s call for visiting Gaza to revive national dialog.
This was obvious after one of his spokesmen claimed that Abbas’s initiative to go to Gaza had nothing to do with Haneyya’s invitation which he described as devoid of any value, the Hamas official explained.
He also criticized some statements by Abbas’s spokesmen saying they do not want to start from scratch and return to what they described as the “dialog of the deaf.”
“They know that the talks that took place in Cairo for several months were open, in-depth and transparent, and not at all the dialog of the deaf, but the former sponsor shaped the results of this dialog into a paper and wanted to impose it on the negotiating parties,” the Hamas official underlined.
“This sponsor was not an honest mediator, but it was biased and involved in the regional-international game aimed at removing Hamas from the political scene, because it was, unfortunately, powerless and did not own its decision,” he added.
