RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Advocates for prisoners organization said the Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons plan to take a number of protest steps earlier next April as a result of the arbitrary measures pursued against them by Israeli jailers.
The organization added that the prisoners coordinated with each other to start during the next few day protest moves against the deliberate violation of their basic rights.
It stressed that what is happening inside Israel's jails are unacceptable and against all international laws and norms, especially with regard to the solitary confinement, the poor medical care and the offensive search routine used with families and relatives during visits to prisons.
For its part, the European network for defending the rights of Palestinian prisoners in the Norwegian capital city of Oslo demanded the Israeli occupation authority to stop pursuing the policy of solitary confinement against Palestinian prisoners in its jails and to improve their incarceration conditions.
The European network urged the fact-finding committee formed to probe the humanitarian conditions of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails by the European parliament days ago to swiftly assume its duties.
