OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Israeli Interior Ministry revoked the right to residence of more than 14,500 native Jerusalem Palestinians since the occupation of Jerusalem and the West Bank in 1967, a new report by a Jerusalem rights group says.
The occupation ministry did so under a law that states that any Palestinian that leaves the city for more than seven years loses the right to live there.
The report, released Monday by the Al-Maqdese for Society Development (MSD) organization, also points out that last month Israeli occupation authorities gave notices to twelve Bedouin families to evacuate their tents northeast of Jerusalem, in an obvious bid to increase the Jewish population of the city and displace the Palestinians.
Regarding the education sector, the MSD said that the Israeli occupation ministry of education has taken control of the school curricula and printing of books. It recently instructed that the “Israeli declaration of independence” is posted in classrooms and explained to the students.
