In his first telephone address during July war, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah told the Lebanese: “In this confrontation, we have two choices, we either submit to all the Israeli conditions, that have American, International, and unfortunately Arab support; or we stand firm, have patience, unite, and confront… the surprises that I have promised will start now. Now, in the middle of the sea, off the shore of Beirut, the Israeli warship that has attacked our infrastructure, our homes, and our civilians..It is now on fire, and will sink taking with it dozens of Zionist soldiers..This is only the beginning.”

Five years later, Israel channel 10 aired a report about the warship that altered the Israeli navy’s “boldness” as well as the war equation.

The survivors of the destroyed warship described what happened; pointing out that prior to the attack they were moving freely off Lebanese shores, and just watching Beirut on fire.

The Zionist marines further expressed their shock when returning to the occupied territories, as the Israeli leadership was only concerned about the $350 million dollar warship, and gave no attention to the killed soldiers.
