DAMASCUS, (SANA)- Syrian artists strongly condemned the heinous act perpetuated against the Syrian national delegation members in Cairo by a number of western agents, although some of them were of Syrian nationality, but they are enemies of the Homeland.
In a statement issued by the Artists' syndicate on Monday, the artists called on the Egyptian government to provide all necessary protection to all Syrians in Egypt.
The statement appealed to the Arab League Council to record this flagrant violation and this painful event away from the double standard policy, adding "the Syrian people are determined to overcome and defeat this conspiracy."
The Syrian artists stressed commitment to the national causes and their support to the wise leadership and the reform program under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.
Members of the Syrian delegation on Sunday were attacked in Cairo and severely beaten in front of the Arab League HQ by Istanbul Council tools.
