"... On the anniversary of Hariri’s murder, the council “saluted the slain premier and the martyrs of the Cedar Revolution,” voicing its solidarity with Lebanon’s “ongoing struggle for independence and democracy.”
It acknowledged that the 2005 Cedar Revolution “acted as the first slap to the Syrian regime”, which led to the end of Syria’s hegemony over Lebanon.
