One Syrian officer was killed and 24 others were injured in an explosion that targeted a bus carrying a number of officers in Aleppo Thursday, SANA reported.
Quoting an official source, the Syrian News Agency reported that “the blast took place at 8:00 am as an armed terrorist group targeted a military bus with an explosive device at the Southern Bypass area, near Al-Nirab Airport Bridge in Aleppo.”
In parallel, SANA reported that another explosion hit a vehicle at Wadi Haj Khaled region in Idled causing a number of injuries, while Secretary of Al-Baath Party Department in Al-Mazareeb town Nasser Bkheit Nasser was assassinated in Daraa.
These seperate operations took place knowing that the Syrian government has announced ceasefire starting Thursday morning in response to international envoy Kofi Annan's plan.
