Lebanese daily al-Akhbar cited judicial sources as saying that Judge Saqr charged Arza Haddad of spying in favor of the Zionist entity.

Arza is the daughter of Saad Haddad, founder of the Lebanese militia which fought alongside the Zionist entity during its occupation of south Lebanon 1982 to 2000.

The daily said that Haddad has been living in the occupied territories, and has the Israeli nationality.
The sources added that the accusation was based on judicial legislations with penalty that could reach 15 years in prison.

“Based on articles 285 and 278 of the Penal Code, Saqr accused Haddad of collaborating with Israel and entering it,” Lebanese daily The Daily Star said on Monday, adding that the case has been transferred to an investigative judge.

Arza had earlier graduated from a prestigious Israeli university with a master’s degree in aeronautics, having developed a rocket engine that enables speedier and longer-range missile fire, according to the Israeli newspaper “The Times of Israel”.
