Turkey warned Syria again on Tuesday that it would not hesitate to retaliate for any strike on its soil as the country's top military commander visited troops stationed at the reinforced border.
"It has become inevitable for our armed forces to retaliate in kind... as the Syrian administration maintains its aggressive position," Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told lawmakers from his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP)."Troops loyal to the Assad administration are shelling our territory... We are retaliating in kind. We are currently doing whatever the rules of engagement require us to do," said Erdogan.

Moreover, "due to his frustration with what he sees as being publicly humiliated by Israel repeatedly (the low chair episode, Israel’s refusal to apologize for killing the Turkish citizens on Mavi Marmara) and, more importantly, Israel’s undermining Erdogan’s quest to restore Turkey to its Ottoman glory in the Arab world", Erdogan, according to Al-Jazeera, lanched two missiles loaded with leaflets in Turkish, English and Hebrew, on the back yard of the recently completed Museum of Tolerance, with a message “No More Mr Nice Guy.”
Turkey Attacks Israel?!

WASHINGTON (AP) — A spokesperson for the State Department refused to confirm or deny the astounding report from Al Jazeera that Turkey launched an unprovoked attack on Israel in the early hours of the morning today.
Usually Al Jazeera’s reports precede those from the State Department, though not those from Tel Aviv, and are remarkably accurate.
According to Al Jazeera, the two missiles that fell in the back yard of the recently completed Museum of Tolerance did not cause any casualties and only minor damage because they did not carry any payload but only leaflets in Turkish, English and Hebrew with the message “No More Mr Nice Guy.”
Speculations by diplomats who prefer to remain anonymous center around the rumors that Erdogan, who has long been under psychiatric care, often stops taking his medication. They add this argument to the theory that Erdogan’s condition has suffered visible deterioration due to his frustration with what he sees as being publicly humiliated by Israel repeatedly (the low chair episode, Israel’s refusal to apologize for killing the Turkish citizens on Mavi Marmara) and, more importantly, Israel’s undermining Erdogan’s quest to restore Turkey to its Ottoman glory in the Arab world.
Coincidentally, Wikileaks has just released new diplomatic cables claiming that in private life Erdogan insists on demanding that his friends call him “Ildirim” in reference to his hero: Bayazid Ildirim.
“He sees all his problems as Israeli sabotage,” the source added,” despite Turkey’s unreserved support of Israel, active participation in the US efforts to bring democracy to Syria, support of sanctions against Iran, and many other proofs of loyalty and support. Finally it all came to a tipping point for Erdogan and he went over the edge.”
Today’s edition of the Jerusalem Post carries the headline: “How many more space violations before we respond?”
In a joint IDF-Shin Beth press conference, the spokespersons also refused to deny or confirm the attack but said, “If Israel’s airspace was violated by Turkish missiles with leaflets, as some insist, and we are NOT saying it was, this would only prove the superb capabilities of our information services and the correct decision-making process of the IDF, because it would prove that we knew the so-called missiles posed no danger, that they would fall in a safe location, and that the incident would only serve as a useful training exercise in tracking for the IDF.”
In unrelated incidents, the Turkish embassy in Israel was spray painted with Price Tag grafitti by unidentified vandals. Several Palestinians Hebron were arrested as suspects.
