Palestinian flagVenezuela has become the first country in the world to abolish entrance visas for citizens of Palestine recognized as an observer state by the UN, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday.
The agreement on the abolishment of visa formalities for holders of civil and diplomatic passports was signed in Caracas among other joint documents after the talks of the Venezuelan and Palestinian foreign ministers.
The State of Palestine has signed ten agreements with the Venezuelan government, in the political, economic, health, agriculture, tourism, cultural, and sports sectors.

The Palestinian FM Riyad Al-Maliki thanked the Venezuelan counterpart for his country’s support of Palestine, and agreed to hold international solidarity meeting with Palestine in next February.
The meeting will be attended by both presidents in Palestine and Venezuela as well as the United Nations Committee to support the inalienable Palestinian people’s rights.

Last Thursday the UN General Assembly granted Palestine the status of an observer state by an overwhelming majority of votes, ignoring Israeli and US objections.
