“Shiite Expansion” Becomes “Iranian Expansion” after Al-Manar Publishes Report

One day after Al-Manar website published Hespress website’s report about Morocco sending security experts to Bahrain to “confront Shiite expansion”, our website received a letter from the deputy editor-in-chief of Moroccan An-Nahar daily indicating that he has warned Hespress that this topic was meaningless. For its part, the latter changed the report’s headline from “Morocco sends Security Experts to Bahrain” to “Morocco to Confront Iranian Expansion”.

The paper’s deputy editor-in-chief further stated that “the topic was published for incitement, and it is not clear whether it is true or not.”

Hespress pictureHespress Website had reported yesterday that “Morocco had finally agreed with the Bahrain Kingdom to send retired security officials who have previously worked in security and army careers, to work with special Bahraini security units to confront the challenges the country is facing, especially those related to confronting the “Shiite expansion”.”

The news website quoted sources as saying that “Morocco has been preoccupied since a few weeks in written down names of retired security and armed forces elements in order to dispatch them to Bahrain, so that they aid its internal security apparatuses in stabilizing security especially after the country was exposed to the danger of “terror” and “Shiite expansion”.”
This week, Morocco strongly condemned “the terror attack that the Bahraini Akkar region faced, which resulted in the injury of a number of security forces members,” reiterating its solidarity with the kingdom in its efforts to fight all types of terror and extremism.”

The African country had also “informed the government about Morocco’s support to efforts aimed at strengthening coexistence and stability between the brotherly Bahraini people, in a way that braces pillars of national dialogue and enhances the reformatory and democratic path in the country.”
In this context, Head of the Social and Humanitarian Research Center in Wajda, Dr. Samir Boudinar told Hespress that “Morocco, with its latest stances – its call to join the Gulf Cooperation Council and its royal visit to the Gulf states – has become closer to those countries in the region.”

He considered that “there has been mutual approach on several priority files and cases on various levels between the Moroccan Monarchy and the Monarchies Club in the Gulf,” indicating that “the security aspect is basic in this strategic approach between the Moroccan and Gulf monarchies, especially with the presence of clear sensitivity towards some files like “the Shiites” file.”

PRC organizes campaign “Britain, It’s Time To Apologize”

LONDON, – The Palestinian Return Center (PRC) has launched an international campaign that targets collecting one million signatures asking Britain to apologize to the Palestinian people.

The London-based PRC statement on Monday said that Britain should apologize for its historic mistake starting with the Balfour Declaration and for the human rights abuse suffered by Palestinians while under British Mandate.

It said, “International Campaign, “Britain, It’s Time To Apologize” …1917-2017…A Century Of Palestinian Suffering It’s nearly 100 years since the UK Foreign Secretary, Arthur James Balfour, pronounced the Balfour Declaration, on 2nd November 1917, promising a homeland for the Jews in Palestine. Ever since, Palestinians have suffered tremendously under the shadow of Britain’s colonial past.”
The statement then read:
“Justice was rendered over Britain’s colonial past in the Mau Mau case. The world heard what every subjugated people knew, Britain committed brutal crimes against indigenous populations.

The Palestinian Return Centre (PRC), with other partners around the world, is preparing to launch their global campaign to mark the centenary of the Balfour Declaration.
The campaign, which will be launched in the UK, will gather a million signatures from those seeking justice in Palestine, in condemnation of British colonial policy between 1917-1948.
Over 11 million Palestinians continue to suffer from the unjust and misguided British policy in Palestine.
The five year campaign will include mass mobilization, popular events, conferences and workshops, lobbying, petition and many other initiatives.
Great injustice leaves great scars, it is time Britain apologized to rebuild for the future.
Since Britain has shown it’s capable of taking responsibility for its past atrocities, we are optimistic in achieving our goal.”

The 'Balfour Declaration' was contained in a letter from Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild in November 1917. The context was the first world war, 1914-18, when Britain was at war with the Ottoman Empire which had sided with Germany in the conflict.
Former government member, Herbert Samuel (a non-religious Jew) had advocated incorporating Palestine into the British Empire - an idea favoured by Theodor Herzl who for some time believed the best hope of establishing a safe homeland for Jews, at a time of violent pogroms in eastern Europe, lay within the protection of the British empire.

Pragmatists in the British establishment were primarily concerned with limiting the support for Germany amongst the Arabs of the region, cultivating support amongst Jews throughout Europe and in protecting the Suez canal, Britain's primary trade route with India and China.
The declaration would have been merely sentimental had not the secret Sykes-Picot agreement, 1916, allocated the Arab lands between France, Britain and Russia, followed by the League of Nations award of the mandate to govern the southern Ottoman empire to the UK in 1922. The mandate lasted until 1948.]

The Balfour Project, in association with the Church of Scotland, is organising a one-day conference on the British involvement in Palestine in the first half of the last century. This is a first step in exploring how to mark the centenary of the Balfour Declaration in exactly five years on 2nd November 2017.

The Balfour Project has been created by a group of academics and activists who believe that this anniversary should not pass unremarked. Mindful of Britain’s responsibility for what has come to pass in the Middle East, the Balfour Project will encourage understanding of what led to the Balfour Declaration, and what flowed from it. Through our website, we plan to facilitate a network of educational, political, religious and humanitarian groups who share this conviction. We aim to stimulate conferences, cultural exchanges and the production of multimedia resources. Above all, we believe that the search for the truth of what took place, and the acknowledgement of wrong-doing, can contribute to justice, peace and reconciliation in the Middle East.

In the morning Dr Mary Embleton, whose special interest is Britain’s involvement in the Middle East, will outline the contradictory promises Britain made to Arabs and Jews, and their consequences for all parties before and during the British Mandate in Palestine. This will be followed by keynote papers from Rev Dr Stephen Sizer, who will talk about the ideas that shaped this period, Professor Mary Grey will talk about the main players and Dr Imad Karam will talk about the consequences for Palestinians today. In the afternoon John Bond OAM, former Secretary of Australia’s Sorry Day campaign, will use the 2008 national apology to Aboriginal Australians to discuss the impact of acknowledgement and apology.
This will be followed by workshops where you can both interact further with the main speakers and pool ideas on how we move forward. How can we create a momentum over the next 5 years towards an acknowledgement of our responsibilities? Can there be a cascade of events, not centrally organised, but all working to the same ends?

Caught in the Act


 
My PhotoWashington wages direct and proxy wars dirty. Favored allies are cold-blooded killers. Cutthroats are America's favorites. The more vicious the better. America's so-called responsibility to protect (R2P) is a license to brutalize and kill.
 
Guns for hire willing to commit unspeakable crimes for a buck are recruited, armed, funded, trained, and deployed to commit the most heinous ones imaginable. Nothing too gruesome is out of bounds. Killing goes on daily like sport.
 
Massacres are strategically timed. Last June, death squads murdered over 100 Houla civilians. They were executed in cold blood. Children were slaughtered like adults.

FABRICATION OF THE SYRIAN TERRORIST OPPOSITION
Fabricator Khaled abo Salah posted on his facebook account pictures calming to be “the massacre of Hawli” while in fact it is form the massacre of Karm Al Zaitoun made by the terrorist fundamentalist gangs of the FSA with their signatures on the walls.. they killed and mutilated many families following their systematic genocide after they rape women infront of the children they shoot the women then kill the children


Pro-government loyalists were targeted. Assad was wrongfully blamed for terrorist killings and atrocities. It wasn't the first time or last.
 
Weeks later, death squads murdered dozens of Treimseh civilians. Assad was again blamed. Western and UN Human Rights Council reports were fabricated. Media scoundrels repeated them like gospel. Facts don't interfere with propaganda. It's standard policy.
 
Last March, a rare exception reported accurately. Der Spiegel discussed the "Homs burial brigade." An insurgent "executioner" said he and comrades "kill in the name of the Syrian revolution. They leave torture (to) the so-called interrogation brigade...."
 
"They do the ugly work." He believes in violence, he explained. He "cut the throats of four men." He machine-gunned many more. Executions happen regularly, he said.
 
Assad loyalists are targeted, brutalized and murdered. Women and children aren't spared. Der Spiegel's "executioner" article explained. The publication said little more by way of follow-up.
 
Last March, Human Rights Watch also reported on Syrian "Armed Opposition Groups Committing Abuses." An "Open Letter to the Leaders of the Syrian Opposition" accused them of targeted killings, summary executions, kidnappings for ransom, torture, hostage taking, and other violent crimes.
 
HRW's moment of truth didn't last. It's a reliable imperial ally. Amnesty International and similar groups replicate its anti-Assad propaganda. They're well funded to support US interests.
 
The latest death squad atrocity was too obvious to conceal. On November 1, Reuters headlined "Syrian rebels kill 28 soldiers in checkpoint attacks," saying:
 
Attacks occurred on three Saraqeb checkpoints. They straddle Syria's main north/south highway. Even Assad opposition supporters can't hide what happened. Video evidence showed it.
 
UN High Commissioner for Human Rights spokesman Rupert Colville called it "very likely that this was a war crime, another one."
 
"Accountability will follow," he added. How and in what form he didn't say. Expect little more than rhetoric.
 
Throughout the conflict, Washington Post reports have been consistently one-sided. This time, fingers pointed the right way. "Syrian rebels execute unarmed government soldiers; dozens killed in fighting," it said.
 
Graphic video footage documented what happened. It's "not the first time that rebel fighters appear to have committed war crimes."
 
Summary executions happen regularly. Soldiers and pro-Assad loyalists are targeted. Video posted online Thursday was filmed at Saraqeb's Hamisho checkpoint.
 
"It shows rebel fighters kicking and insulting government soldiers, who are spread out on the ground. Some of them appear to be wounded." One pleaded: "I did not hit anyone, by Allah. I did not kill anyone."
 
"The man filming the video tells the soldier to shut up and directs his comrades, 'Organize them for me.' The fighters pull the soldiers to the center of the room and open fire on the group, kicking up clouds of dust. The shooting continues for 20 seconds."
 
"A second video posted online Thursday, which appears to have been filmed shortly after the execution, shows at least three other bodies spread out around the checkpoint."
 
"The man filming approaches two of the bodies and says, 'The shabiha of Assad, the dogs.' "
 
The term refers to pro-Assad fighters defending Syria against Western-recruited death squads. In other words, they're anti-imperial resistance fighters. Western reports call them terrorists.
 
New York Times reports also have been consistently one-sided. Covering up this atrocity isn't possible. It headlined "UN Says Syria Execution Video Shows Apparent War Crime," saying:
 
Video circulating online shows "antigovernment fighters armed with rifles kicking and summarily executing a group of captured soldiers or militiamen could, if verified, represent evidence of a war crime to prosecute the perpetrators."
 
Human Right Watch consistently targets Assad. It also accused Syrian opposition forces of torture, other atrocities, and summarily executing security forces and pro-government loyalists in Aleppo, Latakia, Idlib, and elsewhere.
 
On November 1, Amnesty International headlined "Syria: Armed group carries out summary killing of security forces in Idlib," saying:
 
Video footage showed armed militants "carrying out a mass summary killing of men in their custody." They were beaten, kicked and shot multiple times. AI's Ann Harrison said:
 
"This shocking footage depicts a potential war crime in progress, and demonstrates an utter disregard for international humanitarian law by the armed group in question."
 
"Amnesty International has so far been unable to confirm the identity of the armed group that carried out these summary killings, and no group has yet claimed responsibility."
 
"But we will continue to investigate the incident and once again urge all sides to respect the laws of war and to refrain from torturing, ill-treating or killing their prisoners."
 
AI consistently is anti-Assad. Harrison's comments were less than fully forthright. She and other AI staff regularly blame Assad for death squad killings and atrocities.
 
Press TV aired the disturbing video. These are the people Washington gets in bed with.
 
On November 2, Voice of Russia headlined "Bloodbath in Syria," saying:
 
Western-recruited death squads kept on killing throughout the Id al-Adha truce and after it ended. It's "unthinkable (that) the United Nations was unable to condemn them."
 
Failure reveals duplicitous Western standards. Dozens died needlessly. Opposition forces attacked security forces, civilians and government offices. Schools, mosques, and childcare centers are fair game.
 
Washington wants Syria defeated by terror. Doing so risks regional chaos. It's "no exaggeration to say that stability in this key region hinges on further developments in the Syrian crisis."
 
America can easily stop conflict by calling off its dogs. Peace and stability undermines its imperium. Violence furthers it. Hired guns are used for that purpose. Syria's being ravaged and destroyed. Olive branches Assad extends are summarily rejected.
 
On October 30, Syrian expert Patrick Seale headlined "Time for National Reconciliation in Syria."
 
It’s long past time, but how?
 
Despite convincing evidence disputing him, he thinks Syria can be "saved from destruction and national disintegration." What are the obstacles, he asked?
 
Deep wounds must be healed. How can they be when Washington won't let them? Seale admits there's "no readiness for reconciliation on either side." He's half right. Assad wanted it since last year. Repeated overtures were rebuffed.
 
Militant extremists also want conflict. They want Sharia law replacing replacing secular Syria. Most Syrians want no part of it.
 
Seale thinks no one wants direct military intervention. Others call that wishful thinking. Washington has longstanding regime change plans. All options are considered. If nothing else works, expect NATO involvement.
 
Establishing pro-Western governance in Syria is key to isolating Iran and repeating the process. War plans were made long ago. They remain options of choice.
 
Seale is right saying Syrians and other regionally must choose who'll rule them. Intervention in the internal affairs of sovereign countries violates international law.
 
One day perhaps America, key NATO partners, and Israel will observe it. So far doing so is nowhere in sight. Don’t expect it as long as imperial ambitions eclipse other priorities.

'Another crawler ... Same rock'

"... Earlier this year, WikiLeaks, working with more than twenty media partners including Al-Akhbar, released some of Stratfor’s private emails in a project dubbed the “Global Intelligence Files.” In relation to Lebanon and the rest of the Middle East, the emails instantaneously showed that Stratfor placed singular importance on one source, codenamed ME1.
Prior to connecting the dots and uncovering ME1’s identity, Al-Akhbarblogged about him in a March 26 post entitled “Our Man in Beirut,” with evidence gleaned from the “GI Files”:
For the Levant, Senior Analyst for the Middle East and South Asia (MESA), Reva Bhalla, gains the bulk of her human insights from a single main source. Codenamed ME1, the identity of this valuable source is protected even in Stratfor’s own internal source listings (All the files listing the informants names and contact information were conveniently entitled “source lists.”) We don’t yet know who ME1 is, but Reva describes her relationship with him as follows:
“I have been working with ME1 for more than 4 years now. He needs ego stroking and is very defensive, but very well connected. I have caught several instances though where what he has reported is in the OS verbatim. When you inquire about it, he shows classic defensive tactics. He has great sources, but his source information can be difficult to evaluate b/c I can't tell when he might be fabricating the information to justify his pay. Known since 2003. Tempermental [sic]. Sometimes his immediate reaction is suspect. Often good info but hard to tell when it is and isn't. Emphasized quantity over quality.”
Previous readings by Al-Akhbar reported that ME1 was an active source at least as far back as 2006. The Stratfor emails also indicated that he was a major link, connecting the private intelligence firm to other sources, which allegedly included military, academic, diplomatic and media figures in Lebanon and elsewhere. 
Moreover, ME1’s importance to Stratfor was made evident by the fact that he received a significant pay raise last October, which brought his salary up from $3,000 to $6,000 per month, making him one of the highest paid contractors for the so-called “Shadow CIA.”Upon deeper examinations of the GI Files, ME1’s identity was uncovered: Hilal Khashan. Khashan is the author of a number of written works, notably a book titled “Inside the Lebanese Confessional Mind” – described by the notorious neocon Daniel Pipes as “a stunningly original study on the political attitudes of Lebanese.” (Khashan is also a fellow and regular contributor to Pipes' Middle East Quarterly.) 
Khashan first appears within the Stratfor files in November 2004. Corresponding with Anthony Sullivan, a recruiter for the firm, Khashan wrote about his “great interest” in Stratfor founder George Friedman’s article scrutinizing the CIA, and added, “I am writing this note to express to you my interest in cooperating in this worthwhile effort.” (doc-id 5488035) 
A month later, Khashan sent his CV to Sullivan, who in turn passed it on to other senior employees within Stratfor’s Special Operations department. (doc-id 5315732) 
While Director of Special Operations Bob Rushing expressed concern over the new recruit’s ability to gain access as an academic, Sullivan assured him: “Khashan has knowledge of Muslim movements and connections with Muslim personalities in Lebanon and elsewhere [in] the Levant.” That seemed to put to rest any doubts over Khashan’s merits as a provider of “human intelligence.” (doc-id 5338445) 
The use of the codename ME1 appears to have begun in 2006. Most of these early reports by ME1 concentrated on Lebanon, with a particular focus on Hezbollah....... ME1’s analyses and predictions were mostly generic and occasionally grossly off-the-mark. For example, in response to a question sent by Bhalla on 4 November 2006 regarding Hezbollah’s objectives during the early stages of negotiations with Israel over the release of two captured Israeli soldiers, ME1 predicted: “The negotiations will drag on for a considerable period of time and I am certain that the Israeli soldier held in Gaza will be released first.” (doc-id 5278972) 
Hezbollah and Israel agreed to a prisoner swap by 2008, while Hamas and Israel’s prisoner swap occurred only last year. Despite his shortcomings, the relationship between ME1 and Stratfor continued to grow. 
With time, ME1’s reports expanded to include insights on Syrian military mobilizations, and political developments within Lebanon, Palestine and Iran. (doc-id 62654, doc-id 62734, doc-id 63303, doc-id 63417, doc-id 63057).... 
According to the Stratfor cache, "ME1" used some of his students as sub-sources. By 2011, ME1’s claimed sources included a number of Arab diplomats, the Egyptian ambassador in Lebanon, a Lebanese military general, the head of Lebanon’s internal security forces, an international law expert involved in the United Nations Special Tribunal in Lebanon, and more. ME1’s identity appeared to be a closely guarded secret, known only to a few within Stratfor.... (Continue, here)"

DON’T INVITE THE WOLF TO YOUR FRUIT GARDEN !

The question was not if Kaddhafi was good or bad , he could have been good or bad or both , the thing is whether good or bad or both , he should have never been removed the way he was removed , he should have never been removed in the first place by Henry Levy and his gang of armed thugs .
He should not have been accessible to his enemies. Never this ...
should have happened to Libya, to go back to European colonialism and be under the rule of NATO and to start waving with the French flags calling this a revolution . This should not have happened and should never happen again.

This thing has been designed for all Arab countries -through UN and with help of Arab Gulf regimes- and the open outspoken collaboration of the Arab League . All this is in store for all Arab Countries because Arab countries never achieved independence ; and if the Arabs will continue to tread this path of calling in NATO or western colonialist forces into Arab countries, then they will all suffer the plight of Iraqia and Libyans .

What Libya is witnessing is not even occupation , it is the rule of armed gangs and the disintegration of a whole country, a country without rule, and the disintegration of the state with all its institutions . This is not a matter of appointing a stooge , it is a matter of leaving the country totally deprived of any form of rule , no government , no army , no president , nothing . Just utter chaos and the purpose is : to facilitate the looting of the country. This is nothing but legalized theft .

Not even the archeological sites were spared , they are being looted as well and the whole Libyan arsenal is being sacked, not to speak of money , gold and bank accounts. . By all this Europe hopes to improve its economical condition and solve the Euro crisis . This money , Europe needed and has counted on to navigate through its crisis that is striking many countries.

Libyans should have never let this happen , in Arabic we say :” Never bring the wolf to your fruit garden” because the wolf will eat it all.. The west is pirate and predator and a great looter before being anything else, but Arabs have always been deluded by the Europeans, fascinated and deluded. This maybe due to inferiority complex implanted in them and lack of awareness and faith and absence of real feeling of belonging to a nation or a country .

They have done this before after WWI , they have started a revolution that was designed by the colonialist which ended up by the occupation of Palestine . The western colonizer had succeeded in raising the feelings of Arabism and pan Arabism –among Arabs-versus the Turkish identity of the ruling Ottoman by catering to this feeling and this ideology to which Arabs were attracted . Colonialists succeeded in having Arabs lead a revolution that had a reverse effect . Instead of achieving Arab unity it lead to the partition of the Arab world and the establishment of the usurping state of Israel. In Libya they fueled the feeling of religious belonging and of Islam which made the whole thing look as if Islam achieved victory over Kufr which is something amazing when you learn that the designer of the whole revolutionary show was none other than Zionist Bernard Henry Levy.

Apparently Arabs have not learned their lesson . And in Lebanon a similar scenario was designed after Hariri’s death, and you would have seen the French flags waving again in the skies instead of the Lebanese flag in what was called falsely the Cedars’ Revolution and was designed in the back stage of the US embassy; .But not much could be achieved in Lebanon because of the presence of the wise victorious Lebanese Resistance that turned down all world order schemes .This identification with the Resistance and awareness of the fact of the Resistance and the radical stand regarding the enemy are the passports to safety and security.

Now the majority of the Lebanese of all religions and sects know who their enemy is and will not trust the western predators into meddling in the country’s affairs under any circumstance . This sense of autonomy and sovereignty the victorious Resistance brought to the country . Many of us know now that western hegemony is evil- by all standards -and is to be shunned regarding most vital issues . We have learned our lesson that whatever the west brings to us in terms of settling our internal situation –whether under the garb of Islam or modernism -cannot but be wrong and harmful.

For each Arab President and Arab country there is a file and a secret plot undermining every iota of independence.
Every bit of independence is to be prevented at the right time.

Kaddhafi did not expect such time to come, he was not prepared, he thought he had settled his differences with the predator west, had paid compensations for Lockerby that he didn’t commit , had surrendered his nuclear weapons , had settled everything that needed to be settled to start a new chapter altogether.

New chapter there was but at the expense of Kaddhafi and Libya . Kaddhafi forgot that he was dealing with predators in whose eyes all is food and edible , with people who have no moral or logical behavior , lead by their insatiable greed and urge to usurp anything within reach , he paid the price of his ignorance of his enemy’s nature.
