Audio recording between terrorists in Syria to secure chemical bombs

He [Assad] has been very patient... even though there has been massive widespread foreign attack in fact even yesterday there were reports that the head of the opposition went to Qatar for further financing and to obtain this financing he has to go and commit additional atrocities across Syria in order to get the financing from Qatar. Assad’s been extremely patient not using them (chemical weapons) up to this point but he has every right to use them in the event that NATO forces continue their illegal attack on Syria.”
An analyst says Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has “every right” to use chemical weapons against a possible NATO military intervention in the Middle Eastern country.
The comment comes as on January 6, Bashar al-Assad stated that Damascus was always ready to hold talks with the opposition and political parties and that he would call for a “comprehensive national dialog” after the terrorist activities stopped in the country.
The Syrian president also urged “concerned states and parties” to stop funding, arming and harboring militants.
Many people, including large numbers of security forces, have been killed in the turmoil that began in Syria nearly two years ago. The Syrian government says the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the militants are foreign nationals.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Scott Rickard political commentator in Florida to further discuss the issue. What follows is a rough transcription of the interview.
Press TV: Good to see you Mr. Rickard. The question of course of the NATO Patriot missiles has brought about a lot of concern but how much of this concern and fear in the streets of Turkey do you think is realistic?
Rickard: Well, it is a small protest unfortunately. I wish it was much larger. There are six batteries of Patriot missiles going in two each from Germany, two from the Netherlands and also two from the United States.
The Dutch troops number as many as a thousand, what we’re seeing here is another buildup of troops along the border with additional NATO support; you’re looking at an additional probably 30 to 40 thousand troops that have surrounded Syria on the sides of Turkey and also on the side of Jordan and a number of contractors and also mercenaries, soldiers are forging coming in and out of Iraq as well.
So this is a scenario that thankfully Assad has been able to fight off quite well due to his perseverance and wide spread support. This has been a failure for NATO’s Zionist...
Press TV: The major question now would be what the use of these Patriot missiles is going to be a lot of people saying is there going to be a kind of military intervention? Are these missiles going to be used or not?
Rickard: Yes, absolutely. In fact they’re put in place specifically because Assad has warned them that if there is an international intervention he will use chemical weapons and he has every right to do so. The fact is that they’re putting these in to try to save peoples’ lives in Turkey but they’re also in Jordan; they’re also in Israel.
So it’s a widespread campaign by NATO and by the US to protect from basically chemical attack that Assad has every right to do once NATO goes full blow on.
Press TV: Just to mention this the Assad government has said that it doesn’t even possess these weapons or if it does possess these weapons it’s not under any circumstance going to use them right?
Rickard: Well, no that’s not what he said. In fact he said he is going to use them if there is going to be foreign intervention and foreign attack on this country and he has been very patient not to use them even though there has been massive widespread foreign attack in fact even yesterday there were reports that the head of the opposition went to Qatar for further financing and to obtain this financing he has to go and commit additional atrocities across Syria in order to get the financing from Qatar.
Assad’s been extremely patient not using them up to this point but he has every right to use them in the event that NATO forces continue their illegal attack on Syria.
