Jordan’ role was left for the end . It started with Jordan and who knows if it will end with Jordan . The Syrian events started in Dar’a on the borders with Jordan two years ago. Will they end in Dar’a or will Jordan be a new start for a new development of the events ? The US army is in Jordan at the borders with Syria. Two thousands US soldiers are expected to come to Jorda…n . The authorities say that they are here only to share in the war games that are to take place in the Jordanian desert and that carry- funnily enough – the name of Eager Lion ( al Assad al Muta’ahhib ), along with 15 other Nations among them Saudi Arabia and France . The coming confrontation will no more take the form of an internal revolution against a so called dictator , a new kind of war is taking form that will involve directly maybe a regional country and Jordan is to play the major role.
It is noticeable that Jordan’s role has become more and more controversial after it got one billion dollars from the US administration to reopen the borders with Syria and let in more than one thousand mercenaries – through Dar’a- equipped with heavy weapons to fight the Syrian army .Official Syrian Sources also have spoken about the Jordanian involvement in security schemes that planned for a joint operation between Qatar, US, Israel and Jordan whereby Syrians from the opposition will target the chemical arsenals of Syria according to a detailed plan set by the Mossad . This scheme has been exposed and the opposition seems unable to progress on the ground not to speak of being unable to achieve anything politically .
The conference for so called “ Internal Peace” held in Turkey today grouping the friends of Syria under the umbrella of the Coalition of Dawha, has not succeeded yet in taking the Chair of Syria at the UN after usurping that of the Arab League. The only thing it did is gathering funds to bring in non fatal aid to Syria and is now speaking about peace and how to avoid civil war instead of asking Assad to abdicate in order to implement democracy .
Still, the enemy will not accept to be defeated and seems ready to carry on a different plan that will include a possible confrontation involving a regional country. The opposition is not hiding anymore its al Qa’ida identity because it is no more assuming the role of a revolution or an uprising with social demands . It is now grouped under the banner of al Qa’ida- and fighting the Syrian army and is losing strategic positions on the ground . It is dancing to a different tune and maybe preparing for a different kind of interference . Al Assad –the Real Lion- has addressed lately Jordan warning it against the repercussions of the policy of escalation and coordination and cooperation with the enemies of Syria.
