Is it time for EU sanctions on the USA over Iran Nuclear Deal?

US Envoy demands German companies halt Iran business deals
Britain, France, and Germany have issued statements following President Trump’s withdrawal from the P5+1 nuclear deal, warning the US that they must “avoid taking action which obstructs” the rest of the signatories from continuing with the deal.
Iran plans to stay in the deal, as do the other P4+1 nations. This involves substantial sanction relief for Iran and allowing Western businesses to trade with Iran. Though the US never really complied with this, European nations have tried to allow such deals, and don’t want the US to stop them.
That seems to be exactly what the US intends, however, with Ambassador Richard Grenell warning German companies that they’d better “wind down” any business ties they have with Iran. Grenell warned US sanctions will target Iran’s economy, and this is likely to include any European companies doing business with them.
These early signs point to the Trump Administration expecting everything to go back to pre-2015 Iran deal levels, with Iran under an effective global trade ban. No one else seems interested in doing that. Since the US made this decision unilaterally, over the objection of all other signatories, many are likely to resist the US demands.

Protecting israel Is Their Full-Time Job

Philip Giraldi • Unz Review • May 8, 2018
I have a number of times discussed how the U.S. and other governments have legislated and otherwise promoted Jewish and Israeli interests in ways that most people would find unacceptable if they were aware of what exactly has been going on. Here in the United States, special Medicare coverage and immigration status have been granted, often concealed in other legislation, to benefit holocaust survivors and Russian Jews seeking to emigrate. State legislatures and the U.S. Congress have meanwhile been working hard to pass legislation that blocks and even criminalizes the non-violent Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) protests against Israeli behavior while universities have been banning anti-Israel demonstrators and groups on campus because they apparently are offensive to the sensitivities of some Jewish students.
The latest outrage against the First Amendment comes from South Carolina, the home state of the arch-Zionist poseur and United Nations Ambassador extraordinary Nikki Haley. A new hate speech law was inserted in the state’s recently approved annual budget. The legislation borrows from the U.S. State Department definition of anti-Semitism, which proscribes speech that “demonizes” or applies “double standards” to Israel “by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation” as anti-Semitic.
While the State Department definition is a guideline, South Carolina’s specific inclusion of it in legislation makes explicit that criticism of Israel as hate speech can be subject to criminal penalties. It also is binding on all the state’s universities and educational institutions.
The law was promoted by Alan Clemmons, a Mormon legislator who has led numerous delegations to Israel and who has been described as “Israel’s biggest supporter in a U.S. state legislature.”
Supporters of the Bill of Rights have been universally opposed to the bill, but pro-Israel groups have praised the initiative and are expecting a “new wave” of legislation all across the United States blocking any criticism of the self-described Jewish State. The Brandeis Center has enthused
“This bill gives South Carolina the tools to protect Jewish students’ and all South Carolina students’ right to a learning environment free of unlawful discrimination. We are hoping this momentous step will result in another national wave to, once and for all, begin defeating rising anti-Semitism.”
Other states will undoubtedly follow the South Carolina lead, so it would appear that any criticism of Israel will become illegal in the public square if the many friends of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have their way. And they generally do get what they want from the federal level all the way down to the states and local communities, so be prepared.
Israel also is regularly exploiting the American legal system to punish countries that it has defined as its enemies. Its government sponsored lawfare organization called Shurat Hadin has initiated a number of lawsuits in U.S. courts to punish Palestinians and Iranians. Ironically, it is currently seeking to demonstrate that Hamas is committing war crimes in Gaza, where Israel has been using army snipers to kill unarmed demonstrators.
Other lawsuits filed on behalf of mostly Jewish Americans in U.S. courts seeking compensation from Iranians and Palestinians are also pending, with the tribunals in Manhattan particularly prone to being sympathetic to the plaintiffs. Last week, at the Federal Court for the Southern District of Manhattan, Judge George Daniels issued a default judgment relating to his 2011 determination that Iran and Hezbollah materially and directly supported al-Qaeda in the 9/11 attacks and are legally responsible for damages to the hundreds of family members of victims who are named in the case. The judge ordered Iran to pay $6 billion in compensation – “$12,500,000 per spouse, $8,500,000 per parent, $8,500,000 per child, and $4,250,000 per sibling” to the families and estates of the deceased. A 4.96 annual interest rate will also be applied to the amount, starting from September 11, 2001 to the date of the judgement.”
Normally foreign governments have what is referred to as sovereign immunity which prevents their being sued, but that all changed in the U.S. with the passage of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA) of 2016, which permitted individual lawsuits in any federal court involving any government’s alleged participation in international acts of “terrorism.” This has resulted in a series of multi-billion-dollar lawsuits against Iran, the Palestinians and also Saudi Arabia. Many of the lawsuits have Israeli citizens as plaintiffs, suing in American courts.
Though the lawsuit claimed, and Judge Daniels agreed, that Tehran had supported the 9/11 hijackers with training and other assistance, most authorities would question that judgement. Many would consider it to be ludicrous as Iranian Shi’ites were considered to be kill-on-sight heretics by al-Qaeda. The idea that Iran was somehow involved in 9/11 is in reality a ridiculous Israel Lobby contrivance that was first floated in 2015 by ex-CIA Director James Woolsey, a renowned Zionist stooge and conspiracy theorist who is viewed by many as not completely in possession of all his marbles.
Indeed, it is far more plausible that Israel was involved in 9/11 than was Iran. Israel operated a massive spying operation directed against Arabs in the U.S. and several of its intelligence officers were seen in Jersey City to be filming themselves while dancing and cavorting in delight as the twin towers went down, suggesting some prior knowledge.
But, of course, no one would be allowed to sue Israel in an American court. The 9/11 Commission failed to examine the case against Israel even though it allegedly sought to compile a “full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding” the attacks, but it did investigate the possible ties to Iran. It found the only evidence of any Iranian support to consist of certain 9/11 hijackers travelling through Iran on their way to Afghanistan without having their passports stamped.
In his Farewell Address President George Washington warned that
“… a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate inducement or justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite nation of privileges denied to others which is apt doubly to injure the nation making the concessions; by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained, and by exciting jealousy, ill-will, and a disposition to retaliate, in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld. And it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens (who devote themselves to the favorite nation), facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country, without odium, sometimes even with popularity; gilding, with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation, a commendable deference for public opinion, or a laudable zeal for public good, the base or foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation. As avenues to foreign influence in innumerable ways, such attachments are particularly alarming to the truly enlightened and independent patriot.”
If one believes that deference to the special foreign interest of one powerful and wealthy segment of the population is appropriate in a democracy then I suppose the Jewish/Israeli pander has to be considered acceptable. I happen to believe that, as our first president so clearly articulated, it is not, particularly as much of the concession that Jews are somehow to be treated differently than the rest of the community due to their alleged victimhood contributes to a criticism-free ride for an Israel which is eagerly seeking a new war in the Middle East. It would be a war that the United States would inevitably get pulled into by Israel’s friends in Congress and the media. It would also be catastrophic for all parties involved and it all starts with the belief that Israel should somehow be protected and its enemies punished while also being exempt from being made accountable for its actions.

Not Even Half of Invited Diplomats Will Attend US Embassy Opening in Al-Quds

US embassy
Fewer than half of the foreign leaders invited to the US embassy relocation ceremony in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) have actually accepted the invitation.
Some 30 foreign diplomats accepted the invitation to the US embassy’s opening ceremony in Al-Quds, scheduled for Sunday. The invitation was issued by the Israeli Foreign Ministry to diplomats from 86 foreign states. Four days before the ceremony, fewer than half of the recipients have RSVP’ed as “going.”
“At the moment 30 of 86 ambassadors have responded positively [to the invitation]. A large number of ambassadors have yet to respond. We hope all the ambassadors will arrive,” Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesperson Emmanuel Nahshon said, according to the Times of Israel.
Twelve countries have already said they refused the invitation, either due to timing or other conflicts or out of principle, according to Haaretz. Among those to refuse are Australia, Germany, Ireland, Malta, Mexico, Portugal, Poland, Russia and Sweden.
The event will be attended by US President Donald Trump’s daughter and adviser, Ivanka Trump; her husband, fellow presidential adviser Jared Kushner; US Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin and other elected US officials.
On May 9, Hadashot TV reported that a number of EU states, including the UK, France and Germany, are going to boycott the event.
“It is a little strange to invite us to celebrate an event that we opposed and condemned. The Americans were cleverer and knew in advance not to invite us to save themselves from embarrassment,” the network quoted a diplomatic source as saying.

The Abandoned Palestinians

Source
Palestine
After seventy years of brutal Israeli occupation, genocide, ethnic cleansing, theft of their land, cold-blooded murders of their children, starving siege and destruction of all aspects of their life, the Palestinian people had given up on any help or support from any international community, who seem to be bullied and intimidated by Zionist agents.
They also had given up on any help or support from Arab leaders, many of whom had originally accepted the 1948 partition plan and are lately talking about the alleged Jewish rights to live in their alleged god’s Promised Land and are talking overtly about normalizations with the Zionist terrorist state on the expense of Palestinian.
They had also given up on any support from the Moslem world, whose countries are plagued with problems of their own, that were created by Western foreign policies. The Palestinian people; young and old, male and female, decided to take the initiative in their own hands and organized the “Great March of Return” to their own original homes in exercise of UN resolution 194 mandated the right of return of Palestinian refugees to their own cities and villages.
Although their massive marches have been peaceful and under the Palestinian flag only, the Israeli army had met them with massive brutal force with all kinds of weapons. In their sixth week; May 4th, of the March of Return 50 Palestinians including children, women, medics and journalists were shot dead, and 8343 were injured, many of whom had sustained serious injuries including arms and legs amputations. The Israeli soldiers including 100 snipers, who were deployed to Gaza Strip, had used tear gas, rubber coated bullets, live explosive hollow-point bullets and unknown newly developed chemical gases that had inflected serious devastating injuries and fatalities upon the peaceful Palestinian marchers.
Although these killings and injuries are clearly violations of all international laws and articles 27 and 47 of Geneva Conventions and are considered war crimes,  the Israeli military leaders had encouraged and congratulated their murdering soldiers, who were shooting unarmed peaceful Palestinian marchers. “Nothing was carried out uncontrolled; everything was accurate and measured, and we know where every bullet landed.” Israeli military leaders tweeted.
Yet despite these war crimes the Great March of Return is planned to continue until May 15th to commemorate the 70th year of Nakbah; Zionist occupation of Palestine, and in protest of the planned move on May 14th of the American embassy to al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the illegal recognition of the city as the capital of Israel.
On Sunday April 15th the Arab League; 22 Arab states, had their 29th summit in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to discuss the security issues of the Arab World. Originally, the meeting was supposed to commence in the United Arab Emirates, but the Saudi king had hijacked the meeting and hosted it in Dhahran; Saudi Arabia, in an attempt to enforce Saudi influence in the region, and to represent his son Mohamad bin Salman (MBS) as the major player among Arab leaders.
The long covert Saudi/Israeli courtship has recently come to light by MBS, who had encouraged Saudi media outlets to portray Israel in a reasonable light while at the same time demonizing Iran. This was clearly demonstrated by Abdul Hamid Hakeem; the General Manager of the Middle East Center for Strategic and Legal Studies in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Similar to all previous meetings of the League, the Palestinian cause received the usual symbolic but not any tangible support. The meeting was called “Summit for al-Quds (Jerusalem)”, rejected Trump’s recognition of al-Quds as capital of Israel, called for peace negotiations on the bases of the impractical, already dead two-states solution, and called Israel to recognize the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative.
The Saudi king announced a $150 million donation for East Jerusalem to support the administration of al-Quds’ Islamic Property, and another $50 million donation to UNRWA in support to Palestinian refugees. These seem to be generous donations until one realizes that the $150 million are to be paid to Salafi clerics and groups to promote Saudi policies in occupied Palestine, and that the $50 million to UNRWA equals to only 10% of the price of the private yacht MBS had recently bought.
The focus of the summit was not the fate of al-Quds or the Palestinian cause as the Saudi king wanted us to believe. The Palestinian cause is not a priority for the Saudi government as noted by MBS, who stated also that the Palestinians should accept Trump’s peace proposal “the deal of the century” or just shut up. MBS stated that Saudi Arabia has much more urgent and important issues to deal with such as Iran and Yemen.
The real focus of the summit, as manipulated by Saudi king, was to divert Arab attention from the real Zionist threat to the alleged Iranian threat in support of terrorist groups in Syria and in Yemen. The documented facts the summit had ignored is that Iran, with Syria and Russia, has been the real fighter of the terrorist militia armies, who were created and financed partly by Saudi Arabia.
In his article “An Open Letter from a young Saudi to Prince Mohammad bin Salman” Hakeem resembles Iran to the Nazis aimed to exterminate Jewish people.
He describes Iranian and Nazi regimes as two faces of one coin. He urges the Zionist Israeli state to unite with the Saudis to fight the Iranian menace: “… In today’s political reality, you [the Israelis] and we are in the same trench in opposing the Iranian menace, with the terrorism and fanaticism Tehran spawns and exports around the world.  In fulfilling the destiny of all our ancestors, neither you nor we can afford to be bystanders in confronting this evil. Let us be united and of one voice in order to save our cultures and civilizations from the neo-Nazi threat in its Iranian guise, for the sake of peace.”
The summit was encouraged to blame Syrian Assad’s regime and to demand international investigation of the latest alleged chemical attack, yet there was no condemnation of the day before the summit tripartite US/UK/France attack against Syria even before any investigation or confirmation of any chemical attack.   Saudi Arabia, under the promise of financial and economic aid, had also manipulated the summit to gain approval and support for its fourth-year aggression against Yemen.
In the shadow of the alleged Iranian threat and the war in Yemen, the Palestinian issue weathered away. Yet, Mahmoud Abbas; the Palestinian president, praised the Saudi king for his “generous” donations, accused Trump’s administration of violating international resolutions by announcing al-Quds as capital of Israel, called for the implementation of the two-states solution under the supervision of the International Quartet, and affirmed his efforts for reconciliations with Hamas although he accused Hamas of the attempted assassination of Palestinian Prime Minister; Rami Hamadallah, last March 13th.
On Monday April 13th the lifeless Palestinian National Council (PNC) met in Ramallah, West Bank, with the absence of major Palestinian factions such as Hamas, who has the majority in the Palestinian Parliament, the Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). They, and other Palestinian political figures, requested the postponement of the meeting until better arrangement is made to allow all factions to attend. Having the meeting in Ramallah would threaten any faction members, other than Fateh, of being arrested by Israeli forces.
The National Council is a legislative body that theoretically (not factually) represents all Palestinians at home and abroad. The previous meeting was conducted in Gaza 22 years ago in 1996. It was dominated by Fateh’s representatives while the Palestinian diaspora representations were mostly absent, had been pushed out by the Oslo Accord, and are still absent from any arrangements related to them.
Mahmoud Abbas, whose term had expired on January 8th 2009 and has been administering the Palestinian Authority as a dictatorship, insisted on having the meeting in Ramallah despite the absence of major representatives. This placed serious ambiguity on the legal status of most of the attendees, who filled the meeting hall. This is a reminiscence of Arafat’s old tactic of overflowing meetings with his Fateh representative to gain votes for his favor.
Abbas seems to have done the same in order to gain popularity for his own leadership in preparation for anticipated concessions for the long talked about deal of the century. It was reported that President Trump will announce his Middle East plan after his inauguration of the American embassy in al-Quds on May 14th. The plan is reported to offer Palestinians money to build their own capital somewhere else either in the West Bank or in Sinai desert.
For the last seventy years the Palestinians had suffered the worst ever brutal occupation and genocide by the Zionist Jews, who much worse than the Aryan German Nazis consider themselves to be the elite of all elites, a sacred god’s chosen people, who are above all human races and above all international laws and can use brutal force to enforce their will on all humanity with divine impunity. Abandoned by their delusional selfish Arab leaders, abandoned by their misguided Christian and Moslem communities, and abandoned by the false self-proclaimed international righteous, legal and humanistic organizations, to weather away and die quietly, the Palestinian people, this new generation, decided to be the sacrificial martyrs; the Palestinian holocaust (sacrifice), who would rather die honorably while struggling for the dignity, the freedom, and the rightful return of their own people back to their rightful ancestral homeland. Their sacrifice; their murder by the Israelis, would be a dark stain on the human consciousness.

Great Return March: Hamas Leader Says Hundreds of Thousands to Storm Occupied Border

Hamas Resistance Movement’s Leader in the Gaza Strip Yahya Sinwar hinted at the possibility that thousands of Palestinians could storm the occupied border fence with the Zionist entity during next week’s mass protests.

Yehya Sinwar

“What’s the problem if hundreds of thousands storm this fence which is not a border of a state? What’s the problem with that?” Sinwar said, adding he did not recognize the border.

Meanwhile, Sinwar repeatedly attacked US President Donald Trump’s moving his country’s embassy to the occupied holy city of al-Quds. The opening of the embassy takes place on Monday, and coincides with the latest protests – which have martyred 40 Palestinian so far since 30 March.

Sinwar repeated his emphasis on the right of return for the descendants of refugee landowners who in 1948 lost their homes during the Nakba Day [the catastrophe], a time which will be commemorated on Tuesday.

Better not Protest Israel’s birthday in America

Screen Shot 2018-05-04 at 10.51.35.png
By Eve Mykytyn
One more proof, if one were needed, that protesting Israel in the United States can be a perilous activity. Last Friday, Zionists groups organized a rave in Washington Square Park in NYC to celebrate  Israel’s 70th Anniversary. (the rave post dated Israel’s independence day due to permit issues)
Protestors gathered nearby with the goal of reminding Zionists that their  rave celebrated “the racism and the apartheid that is Zionism,” as NYU student Sheelan Mirza said.
“The ideology of Zionism is antithetical to Palestinian liberation,”  remarked SJP President Khalid Abu Dawa. The protestors chanted, “Displacing lives is ’48, there’s nothing here to celebrate,”  referencing the Nakba, the mass expulsion of Palestinians from their land.
A member of Students for Justice in Palestine was arrested after burning an Israeli flag, and another student was arrested when he crossed into the rave as the rave was ending, grabbed the microphone and yelled, “Free Palestine.”
These arrests were met with an unusually harsh response for student protestors, both students were held at a local precinct until 10:30 pm and then jailed overnight in Manhattan criminal court.
The next morning at their arraignments, the students were charged with a variety of harsh and seemingly inapplicable charges. The student arrested for burning the flag was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment (creating a substantial risk of physical injury to another) and resisting arrest. Each charge carries a substantial potential fine and the possibility of a year in jail.

The student who grabbed the microphone was charged with disorderly conduct, robbery in the second degree (a felony with a penalty of up to 15 years in prison) assault in the third degree and criminal mischief in the third degree. SEE for definitions and penalties.
The following video shows the protestor grabbing the microphone and his arrest. While the protestor might have disturbed the rave, this hardly looks like the commission of a serious felony. No one was hurt. Despite their relatively mild actions, both students have court dates in June for very serious charges that can follow them for life. grabbed the microphone was charged with disorderly conduct, robbery in the second degree (a felony with a penalty of up to 15 years in prison) assault in the third degree and criminal mischief in the third degree. SEE for definitions and penalties.
The Israel celebrants were more sanguine and apparently felt free to instruct the protestors. NYU sophomore and Realize Israel board member Bryan Buch said his organization is open to discussion, but the rave is not the place for it. Buch commented, “When you have a birthday, you don’t go out and you say, ‘Oh, you remember when you did that? You just say congratulations.”  Of course, if you are mourning the Nakba, congratulations may not be the correct term for noting successful ethnic cleansing. In fact, Israel’s birthday party seems a uniquely appropriate place to remind Israel’s supporters of the human costs of their celebration.
Realize Israel president Adela Cojab compared the Israeli anniversary to the Fourth of July. “Every single country has their (sic) own nuances, …. but let’s say a Fourth of July barbecue isn’t the place to discuss it.” Just a reminder to Ms Cojab, Israel’s nuances are not yet America’s, nor is its independence day July 4th and even during America’s fourth of July celebrations one is still entitled to criticize America and even burn its flag.
