Terrorists Surrender in Homs, Syrian Army Advances across Country
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a truce was already in place in the Old City and other militant-held areas under government siege, and that around 1,000 fighters were expected to withdraw.
The Syrian army units went ahead strongly with operations Friday as they are more resolved to keep at bay terrorist groups who have been recently pushed back from strategic sites and areas across the country.
A military source told SANA that the army units targeted terrorists' dens and gatherings in Bab al-Twrkman neighborhood, killing and injuring scores of terrorists.
The source added that other army units killed and injured scores of terrorists in al-Safsafeh neighborhood and near Khadijeh al-Kubra school and near al-Haal market in al-Qusour neighborhood, destroying their equipment.
The source pointed out that the army units destroyed a terrorists' depot full of rockets to the west of Daar al-Sa'ada. In the same context, an army unit repelled terrorists' attempt to infiltrate from al-Dara al-Kabira toward al-Khaldiyeh village, killing and injuring scores of them.
Other army units stormed terrorists' dens and gatherings in Hur Bnafsoh village in al-Rastan and Talf village in al-Houleh, inflicting heavy losses upon them. The army units also killed all members of two armed terrorist groups in al-Ghanousheh and al-Barghothiyeh villages.
Meanwhile, the army units killed and injured many terrorists in Hawsh al-Zawahra in al-Sa'an al-Sharqi.
Another army units targeted terrorists who were attacking the road between al-Qaryatin-Bseira and Homs- al-Tanf, eliminating a number of them, in addition to destroying their vehicles.
In another context, an Iraqi terrorist turned himself in and handed over his weapons to authorities in Homs. Units of the armed force continued advance in pursuing terrorists in al-Amriyeh and al-Ramouseh neighborhoods in Aleppo, inflicting heavy losses upon them.
A military source told SANA that the army units destroyed terrorists' dens and gatherings in the Industrial Area, Daret Ezzeh, al-Atareb, Khan al-Assal, al-Layramoun, Qbtan al-Jabal, Tal Ref'at, Babis, Andan, al-Kastilo, al-Sheikh Said, to the east of Sam'an castle and in the area surrounding the Central Prison, killing and injuring scores of terrorists, in addition to destroying their weapons and ammunition. The source added that other army units repelled terrorists' attempt to infiltrate from al-Mahdi school toward al-Hamidiyeh in Qastal Harami, eliminating many of them and destroying their vehicles.
A unit of the armed forces destroyed several terrorists’ vehicles near Kherbet Mama in Nemer town in the countryside of Daraa, killing numbers of the terrorists. Other army units destroyed an ammunition depot and terrorists' dens in Atman town, Atman-as-Sad road and in Kherbet Ja'eliyeh, West of Shiekh Maksoud, killing and inuring a number of terrorists.
A military source told SANA that the army units targeted gatherings of terrorists in al-Na'emieh town, al-Bajabjeh neighborhood and al-Maslakh (slaughterhouse) Southeast of al-Bahhar in Daraa al-Balad, left a number of terrorists killed and wounded.
A military source told SANA that an army unit destroyed a terrorists' den near Ma'ar Tamsareen in the countryside, killing scores of terrorists, some of them were non-Syrian, in addition to destroying a number of their cars equipped with heavy machineguns.
