Behind the Scenes: Iraq Gov’t to Turn ISIL Threat into Opportunity

• It is estimated that the fronts in two or three places in Syria will witness a total collapse of the Takfiri groups. This is because government forces have been successfully able to tighten the noose over them and to kill many of their leaders and inflict heavy damage in their ranks.

                    

• Iraqi official authorities have been able to contain the military developments in Mosul. The expectations now that the authorities change this major threat into an opportunity and restructure its forces and reschedule priorities and make a total counterattack that would help spread its control over Mosul again.

                  

• Lebanese government will soon agree on a policy to run the cabinet affairs. Many ministers expressed hope the government will finalize an agreement to ensure smooth running of cabinet affairs.
