REMEMBER: In March (2014), the Israel Navy intercepted an Iranian arms ship destined for Gaza, which included 40 Syrian made M302 rockets that had a range of between 90 to 160 kilometers.

The M-302s were smuggled into Gaza late last year, before Israel seized the weapons-laden Klos-C four months ago. After inspecting the weapons aboard the ship, IDF officials said the rockets that had previously been smuggled in would threaten the Jerusalem area, Tel Aviv and part of the north, as well as offshore natural gas rigs.

"There is no local production of M-302 rockets, as far as I know," said Tal Inbar, who heads the Space Research Center at the Fisher Institute for Air and Space Strategic Studies, an institution established by the Israel Air Force Association to promote public discussion about aviation and space issues. "This is a family of rockets with a long and variable range, and we encountered it for the first time in an operational capacity when Hezbollah fired them in 2006, at which point they were called Khaibars.
The Syrian-made M-302, whose range varies from 90 kilometers to at least 150 and is based on WS-2 Chinese rockets, which were fired at Israel by Hezbollah during the 2006 Second Lebanon War, under the name Khaibar-1. Hadera sustained a hit by one of these rockets in 2006 as well. Inbar said the rocket that hit Hadera this week is one of the longest-range M-302s, which can carry warheads of up to 145 kilograms....
Islamic Jihad also has rockets that can reach the center of the country.
Hamas insists its weapons are locally made.
The al-Qassam brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, boasts on its website that it can make its own version of the M-302 – named the R-160 after one of its leaders, Abdel Rantisi, who was killed last decade.

تتناول صحيفة "البناء" اللبنانية العدوان على غزة في يومه الثالث والتطور النوعي للمقاومة، كما تتحدّث عن لغز الصواريخ السورية كمّاً ونوعاً وتربطه بكلام القيادات السورية عن تحميل إسرائيل مسؤولية ما جرى في سوريا وتأكيدها أنها ستدفع الثمن بالصواريخ.
واكبت "صحيفة البناء" اليوم الثالث للعدوان على غزّة والذي شهد بحسب ما كتبت "تطوراً نوعياً للمقاومة حيث بلغت الصواريخ مدينة حيفا الساحلية، بما يعني ظهور جيل جديد من الصواريخ الدقيقة التسديد والبعيدة المدى التي تتعدى الـ160 كلم، بما يعني أيضاً أن الترسانة الصاروخية للمقاومة قد جرى تحديثها بعد حرب 2012".
وقالت الصحيفة "اللغز يكمن في ما كشفته القناة العاشرة الإسرائيلية، عن أن مصدر هذه الصواريخ كماً ونوعاً هو سوريا.متسائلة "كيف حصل ذلك؟ كيف حصل في السياسة، وإسرائيل تنام على حرير الخلاف السوري الحمساوي، وكيف حصل لوجستياً وإسرائيل واثقة بسبب الأزمة بين مصر وحماس، بأن الحدود المصرية مع غزة أشد ضبطاً من أي وقت مضى؟ لا أجوبة سوى أن إسرائيل لم تأخذ على محمل الجد كلام القيادات السورية عن تحميل إسرائيل مسؤولية ما جرى في سوريا، وتأكيدها أنها ستدفع ثمن ما سببته لسوريا".
وأضافت "البناء" إن سوريا وحلفاءها مصممون على ألا يقفل ملف المنطقة على تسويات لا يكون من ضمنها توازن قوى يحمي حق ووجود المقاومة في فلسطين، وفي خدمة هذين الهدفين يصير التواصل مع حماس والجهاد وطريق وصول الصواريخ أموراً يتقنها المعنيون ويحتفظون بأسرارها.
