The Relationship Between the US and ISIS
Columnist Mehmet Ali Güller of Aydınlık Newspaper writes about the relation between the US and terror organization the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS).
Hürriyet Newspaper columnist Ahmet Hakan was trying to disprove the claims of the relationship between the USA and ISIS by asking these two question in his article yesterday.
Question Number 1: Why did the US withdraw from Iraq if it were so bloodthirsty to create ISIS?
Question Number 2: Why did the US not interfere in Syria if it was yearning to interfere in the region?
Let us answer these.
Answer Number 1: The US had to withdraw from Iraq because of Iraqi resistance in 2004, Hezbollah’s strike on Israel in 2006 and Russian interference to Georgia in 2008 merged with the severe economic crisis. Hakan would find the answer himself if he searched for the evaluations of the US President, State Secretary, Defence Secretary and Chief of Staff.
The evaluations of Zbigniew Brzezinski and Henry Kissinger who tried to find an outlet for the US prove this.
Answer Number 2: According to the security doctrine based in Asia-Pacific, the USA was going to carry out its plans in the region with its allies in the Middle East, which is why it did not step in Syria and pushed Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar instead. One could ask: “Why is it stepping in now?”
This is both about the clash between the intervenors and realists in the US, and the failure in Syria and Ukraine.
The possibility of losing in Syria has pushed the US to make a move to cut the Russian support to Syria. Hakan could also find a great deal of researches about this if he looked into the US sources.
Apart from his questions, Hakan’s conclusion is pretty problematic: “The stance of the USA about ISIS is crystal clear. The region has created ISIS and the US is seeking how to take advantage of this. This is what it is all about.”
This conclusion is both problematic and dangerous for paving the way for the US interference. It is problematic because he ignores the relationship between the US and ISIS. We can define this relationship as so: Whatever the Taliban meant for Reagan and Al-Qaeda for Bush, ISIS and Al-Baghdadi mean for Obama. This is a counter-evolution in time. It is how it has always been. It has never been an absolute truth, but a truth that fluctuates over time.
Fractions and deviations occur occasionally. What is important is that the parallelism between the intelligence organization and the advantages that the terrorist organization provides.
ISIS is an actual subcontractor of the USA!
Correct answers cannot be found with wrongly asked questions.
Here is the correct question: If the US had not invaded Iraq, would there be terrorist organizations such as the Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad which was established in Iraq as the predecessor of ISIS in 2004? Was it possible for the ISIS organization to gain such a strength if the USA and its subcontractors did not have goals such as overthrowing Assad's regime.
The Iraq and Syria policies of the USA, not the policies of Maliki and Assad, have created the ISIS. That's why Graham Fuller describes ISIS as a product of the USA.
Former CIA and NSA agent Edward Snowden announced that the Israeli intelligence organization Mossad provided military training to ISIS leader al-Baghdadi for a year. William Engdahl says that the ISIS militants were trained by the CIA in Jordan and its funding was provided by the Gulf countries.
German Development Minister announced in a live broadcast that the this country is Qatar. Jeffrey Silverman explains how the CIA replaced Chechen descent Tarkhan Batiashvili inside ISIS under the code-name "Abu Omar al-Shishani " and how he was increasingly promoted with the support of the CIA. According to the prison records, al-Baghdadi is a CIA agent. Journalist Christof Lehmann wrote in one of his columns based on the statement of Hariri that "the headquarters of ISIS in the conflicts in Iraq is the US Embassy in Ankara."
The US Senator Rand Paul confesses that the US has armed ISIS and the former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in the press meeting of her new book "hard choices" that ISIS gained strength in the atmosphere created by the USA!
So the related relationship is crystal clear!
