Takfiri terrorist groups killed and injured scores of civilians in al-Mabouja village in the central Hama province on Tuesday.
Official news agency, SANA, reported that 48 civilians were killed in the attack which took place on Tuesday morning, saying that most of them were women and children.
“Other civilians were injured in the massacres which the Takfiri terrorist groups committed in their attack against the village which took place early in the morning, with the Police saying that most of the victims are women and children,” SANA said.
Units Of the army, in cooperation with the popular defense groups and local residents, clashed with the terrorists, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment, the agency added.
- The terrorists destroyed, vandalized and burnt down tens of houses after robbing them, SANA quoted the police as saying.
The village, which is located 7 km to the east of al-Sabboura area in the countryside of al-Salamiyeh city, was attacked from different directions, the Police said.
SANA quoted a military source as saying that the army units dismantled around 40 explosive devices which terrorists had planted in the residents’ houses in the village.
