The Islamic Resistance Mujahidin had targeted a gathering of top officials of the armed groups as well as military vehicles in an arid point on the eastern Lebanese border.
In a distinctive achievement, the Syrian army and its allies had taken over two parts of the strategic Khirbet al-Nahle hill overlooking Asal al-Ward outskirts in addition to the eastern part of Brital outskirts as to gain total control over it.
Moreover, a plant for manufacturing explosive devices and a stolen civilian car to be booby-trapped had been discovered in the hills.
In a similar notion, the Syrian army targeted the terrorist group's sites killing and wounding a large number of militants and destroying three of their posts in addition to the destruction of four vehicles in Sabna outskirt located between Asal al-Ward outskirts al-Tofail.
Nonetheless, the Syrian army also targeted with heavy artillery and rockets insurgent positions in Qarna and al-Kathab Valley in the same area causing additional deaths and injuries upon the insurgents.
Meanwhile, the Mujahidin destroyed on Wednesday seven al-Nusra Front military vehicles via guided missiles in al-Tofail outskirts and east of Brital outskirts killing 16 insurgents.
Likewise, the Mujahidin were able to kill dozens of al-Nusra militants via ambushes in advanced areas under the control of al-Nusra Front in Brital and al-Tofail outskirts.
However, due to the severe strike of the Mujahidin upon the armed groups, especially the al-Nusra Front, on Wednesday and Thursday along the eastern mountains of the Lebanese border line, al-Nusra Front and other extremist armed groups had been in a state of confusion and panic over the ground condition in Qalamoun.
Accordingly, the chief of al-Nusra Front in Qalamoun Abu Malik al-Talli had secluded Abu Mujahid a field officer and appointed Elias tin his position.
