The Islamic Resistance - the armed wing of Hezbollah - has managed by far to liberate 225 square kilometers of the total area of the eastern barrens in Lebanon, including 110 km2 inside Arsal barrens, while the rest covers the barrens of Britel and Nahle.
Moreover, in the Syrian Qalamoun, Hezbollah and the Syrian Arab Army managed to liberate 287 km2, including 50 km2 inside Fleita barrens.
In the overall result, more than half of the territories where terrorists of the so-called 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant' (ISIL) and Al-Nusra Front takfiri groups were deployed was liberated since Hezbollah launched a wide military campaign against takfiris in the area.
90% of Al-Nusra military posts were also seized.
Subsequently, the total liberated area became 512 square kilometers out of 800 square kilometers, a rate of 64% of the territories occupied by ISIL and al-Nusra in Qalamoun and the Eastern Lebanon Mountain Range.
In this context, Hezbollah and the Syrian army controlled on Monday two main positions of Nusra Front in Jreijeer which were the last strongholds of the terrorist group in Qalamoun barrens, killing scores of militants.
