Sayyed Nasrallah: ’Israel’ must Worry, Response to Al-Quntar Inevitable...

Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah confirmed that the Resistance is going to respond on the "Israeli" assassination of Leader martyr, Samir al-Quntar, and that the "Israeli" must continue to fear this response.

"Retaliation against al-Quntar's assassination is inevitable," Sayyed Nasrallah vowed.
During a televised speech hedelivered marking a week of the martyrdom of al-Quntar, Sayyed Nasrallah congratulated the Muslim World on the birth anniversary of Holy Prophet Mohammadand Jesus The Christ.

He further extended the party's condolences over the death of ex-MP Ali Eid. In parallel, the Resistance leader condoled the families of martyrs who fell alongside al-Quntar in Syrian Jaramana.

On the traits of martyr al-Quntar, Sayyed Nasrallah confirmed that the acts of sacrifice carried out by the martyr to serve the Resistance cause, in Lebanon or Palestine, in face of the "Israeli" occupation would end either in martyrdom or imprisonment.

Hailing the characteristics of al-Quntar, the dean of all the prisoners in"Israeli" jails, His Eminence highlighted that al-Quntar turned to become an icon for the school of Resistance.

"On this particular day we are in need to regain the readiness to sacrifices as al-Quntar did all along his 30 years in prisons that presented him as a model of sacrifice," he mentioned.

According to Sayyed Nasrallah, al-Quntar was a school in everything. "As al-Quntar was sentenced to life in the Zionist prisons, his spirit never found a way towards desperate."

"From behind the bars, he continued his education, used to lift morals of other prisoners, and exerted efforts in flourishing the Palestinian cause."

His Eminence also elaborated that the traits of the great model were present in al-Quntar's positions during the 2000 swap with the apartheid entity. "Samir affected me most after the year of 2000 when we were negotiating a swap deal and the German mediator told us the freedom of al-Quntar was impossible. That day, al-Quntar was selfless and told us not to stop the deal."

"As we are commemorating al-Quntar, we must revive the spirit of sacrifice, because this is a key condition for the rise of the people, the persistence of Resistance and the creation of the future."

This comes, His Eminence added, as many regional regimes are spreading desperate among the nation. "Hundreds of Arab and non-Arab satellite channels are promoting defeat, discouragement and responsibility evasion."

On the same level, he denounced the fact that many regional government turned to act and promote that "Israel" is a "fact" that we must acknowledge and not confront.

In face of humiliating example, Sayyed Nasrallah offered the example of martyr al-Quntar. "After he was freed from "Israeli"prison, Samir could have lived a normal life among his family and friends, and he could have stayed in the axis of Resistance without getting involved militarily, but he refused to do so. It was one of the ideas I proposed to him and I told him that he could play an intellectual role."

He further revealed that al-Quntar requested to help the resistance in its struggle against the Zionist entity and offered to give his expertise to the Resistance, especially after he was highly trained.

He, meanwhile, underscored that al-Quntar's sin was that he took responsibility of the Golan front, at the time when the "Israeli" enemy doesn't want this front to ignite.

"It's possible that the "Israeli" enemy misinterpreted, this enemy doesn't understand what brotherhood means as al-Quntar said in his will ‘we are equal in arms'."

Moreover, he affirmed that the martyr and his brothers helped in transferring expertise to the Syrian youth Resistance, which the enemy fears.

"The "Israeli" wanted to abort the Syrian resistance and the new resistance project since its early beginnings because of the sensitivity of the occupied Golan front."

His Eminence stressed that "when the activities of the Resistance started near the Golan, "Israel" grew very anxious, and it started retaliating in a disproportionate manner to any shelling or gunfire on the border, even if it did not cause casualties."

"Netanyahu has sought to obtain international recognition of the annexation of the Golan under the excuse of the Syrian conflict," he said, pointing out that "al-Quntar and the Quneitra martyrs played a role in providing support to the resistance movement in the Golan [Heights] and this is what "Israel" feared."

From martyr al-Quntar, Sayyed Nasrallah moved on to talk about the battle of hope the Palestinians are launching in face of the "Israeli" tyranny.

On this level, he asserted that the main part of the Resistance is the continued presence of Palestinians in the occupied lands.

His Eminence went on to say: ""Israel" resorts to all means, including deploying its army, one of the strongest in the world, which enjoys the support of the United States, putting every Palestinian into prison before releasing them, and maintaining a crippling siege on the Gaza Strip, so that Palestinians would reach a state of hopelessness."

"The whole world has, meanwhile, opened its doors to migrating Palestinians so they easily depart from the occupied territories," he said.

In addition, he stated: "From the very first day of the usurpation of Palestine, the enemy has been seeking to strip the Palestinians and the people of the region of any hope on the removal of "Israel". They have been seeking to influence our minds, will and resolve through a psychological war."
I
n response, Sayyed Nasrallah, instead, advised all those favoring the liberation of the Palestinian territories from Israeli occupation to stage a "battle of hope" by asserting that it is the Zionists, who should leave the lands.

He cited a Palestinian female as telling an "Israeli" interviewer after release from an "Israeli" prison as saying, "This is our territory. This is our land. You must leave our land."
"This is the battle of hope," His Eminence said, compared to the battles of desperate and surrender the regional regimes are presenting.

He also slammed Arab nations for their incompetency and inability to face "Israel", ridiculing the anti-terror coalition Saudi Arabia recently announced.

"Do not wait for Arabs to do anything about "Israel's| crimes against the Palestinians, their homes and their holy places ... What do you expect from Arab regimes? What have they done for the last 67 years? They have left no place for hope, but have rather brought despair," Sayyed Nasrallah said.

He further noted: "If all efforts in Syria, Iraq and other countries where conflicts are taking place were joined together, the "Israeli" entity would be wiped out."
A
ddressing Palestinians, the Hizbullah Secretary General said that "Israel" only gives them two options: either to accept a semi-autonomous state, or migrate to other countries, denying that any party in "Israel" - whether left or right-wing - would accepted a so-called two state solution.

"A two state solution is out of the question for the "Israelis" ... But an empire falls even after 100 or 200 years, so nobody should bet on "Israel's" eternity."

Back to the response to the "Israeli" assassination of al-Quntar, Sayyed Nasrallah said: "Israel" decided that eliminating such an important target is worth the adventure and the sacrifice ... They thought that al-Quntar is not that important to Hizbullah.

"We will not forgive those who have shed the blood of our fighters ... We tell "Israel" to keep an eye on all the border - and even beyond them - as Hizbullah's retaliation could happen anywhere," he vowed.

"We do not fear any repercussions or threats and we cannot tolerate that the blood of our jihadist fighters and brother be shed anywhere in this world," Hizbullah's leader stressed.

Wondering if the "Israelis" undermine Samir al-Quntar or the Resistance, why are they such frightened and seeking refuge in slums like rats?

In conclusion, His Eminence noted that the timing and place of retaliation is now in the hands of the faithful Resistance fighters and military commanders.

Samir al-Quntar, the Lover of Palestine… “Om Jabr” Tells “al-Ahed” Stories of her Hero

Occupied Palestine

In 1985, the relationship between the mother of prisoner Jabr Wishah', who was under life imprisonment, and the martyr prisoner Samir al-Quntar, was born behind the cells of the "Nafh'a" Zionist detention camp.

Samir al-Quntar, the Lover of Palestine… “Om Jabr” Tells “al-Ahed” Stories of her Hero

Hajje Handoume was watching a conversation between a young man who was asking a woman, calling her "Aunt", not to come and visit him again, when she wondered about the issue. She asked al-Quntar about it, then he told her that she is not his aunt. She was a mother of a freed prisoner, and she doesn't have to carry his burden anymore. At that moment, "Om Jabr" decided to adopt this young man, assuring the other mother that she will keep on visiting Samir.

After nearly 15 years on that day in 1999, Jabr was released from prison in an exchange deal, during which Samir asked Hajje "Om Jabr" to stop visiting him. However, she strictly refused and visited him four times before the occupation forces banned her. However, she was able to obtain a judgement to visit him several times before she was banned again by the occupation.

"Om Jabr", who cried over Samir terribly as she learned of his martyrdom, told the "al-Ahed" correspondent: "I knew that the end of his life will be in martyrdom, he is one of the people who don't change their positions... the news was tragic for me, and for every person who knew him. But I thank Allah for everything, he is a resistance man who granted his life for liberating Palestine since he was 16."

The sorrowed mother noted that she dreamed of Samir three nights before his martyrdom, as he laid down in front of her eyes. She remained worried until she was shocked by the news of his martyrdom.

She further added: "He had always been repeating: I left Palestine to return to Palestine."

"Om Jabr" held a mourning ceremony in the al-Bureij refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, in which she was also receiving congratulations for the martyrdom of her adopted son.

The woman recalled the many visits she made for Samir inside the prison, and his words to her. She said: "during every visit he had shaved his beard, raised his head as if he is not imprisoned, he looked like a university student, with high morale. We used to talk about my four imprisoned sons: Jabr in Nafh'a, Bassem in Shatta, Diyab in ‘Askalan and Yasser in ‘Ansar. He used to ask me not to visit him again as he sympathized with me. But I used to tell him "they are on the way of honor and dignity, and so are you my son.""

"Om Jabr" talked about the moment her son was released, stressing that her first question was about Samir and that she wished he was released before her son, and that if she had to choose between them both she would have chosen the release of Samir first.

His Life in Prison

Freed prisoner Mahmoud az-Ziqq is one of the many people who met Samir inside the occupation prisons.

Az-Ziqq asserted that al-Quntar had good relations with all prisoners, and from all Palestinian organizations, saying that: "al-Quntar surpassed sectarianism and regional borders, he was a Lebanese commando for Palestine."

"He loved knowledge, I taught him Hebrew during a very short time, and he used to follow Hebrew media, and was keen to read the newspapers we received."

Recalling the most difficult positions they had to face, az-Ziqq said: "In 1985, when the Popular Front-General Leadership was finishing an exchange deal, "Israel" rejected 36 names, whereby Samir and I were from the list. Difficult negotiations took place, sponsored by the Austrian chancellor, and the deal was delayed for a whole month. Negotiations ended with a middle-solution that stipulated the release of 18 detainees while keeping the rest. I was one of those who were released while Samir remained imprisoned. However, he farewelled us with a smile, and full trust that he will be freed someday."

Communications with al-Quntar didn't stop, and they met in Algeria in 2010, noting that he found him as he was, a limitless revolutionary who knows his way towards Palestine.

His Lovers

Among thousands of those who offered condolences in Gaza, the Palestinian Khamis al-Majdalawi seemed very sad as he was one of those who were keen during Samir's imprisonment to carry his photo in rallies calling for the release of the detainees.

Al-Majdalawi arrived at the Red Cross headquarters carrying Samir's photo, stressing that the photo of he who crossed seas and borders to fight for Palestine must be raised when he is imprisoned until his release. And today, it is the duty of every Palestinian to carry his photo as he has been martyred, as a minimum offering for this stubborn fighter who loved Palestine with all his heart.

Rallies and protests were staged in several areas in occupied Palestine in condemnation of the crime of assassinating al-Quntar, amid assurances that he is one of the great martyrs of the nation whose killing will not make him absent.
