Syrian Army units continued its advance in eastern Aleppo countryside on Sunday, and managed to liberate more than thirty villages that were seized by terrorists the day before.
The army forces also seized control over the thermal plant in eastern rural Aleppo, which is believed to be one of the most important power plants in Syria.
The area controlled by the Syrian army has reached about 127 kilometers square, covering more than 31 villages, including several farms. All were occupied by the so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) takfiri group.
These villages and towns are:
Jebb Al-Safa, Mfalseh, Dikweneh, Assabihiyeh, Qasr Al-Wared, Al-Hwejinah, Ein Sabel, Al-Salhiyeh, Tal Istabl, Rayyan, Qaroutiyeh, Jibril, Al-Rodwaniyeh, Om Al-Amed, Assafira, Taridam, Baidoura, Kabrah, Blat, Tal Alam, Za’laneh, Mir Al-Hassan, Om Tarika, Safah, Fah, A’bad, Abu Dhanah, Abu Danah, Shahshour and Jeb Ghabashah.
