Yemeni army and Popular Committees announced on Wednesday they were in full control of Shabaka military post which overlook Bab al-Mandeb strait.
Military sources reported that dozens of Saudi-led forces were killed and injured in the fierce clashes which erupted before the control of the post.
Earlier on Tuesday, at least 70 Saudi-led forces were killed and other 100 were injured when the Yemeni allied forces fired a ballistic missile, targeting al-Hazm complex in al-Jawf province.
Yemeni military source said that the missile unit in the Yemeni army and the popular committees fired on Tuesday Tochka missile, noting that among the killed and the injured were commanders.
The source told Yemeni news agency, Sabaa, that many commanders, including foreigners, were at the complex which was destroyed.
Yemen has been since March 26, 2015 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led coalition.
Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.
Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.
However, Yemeni army, backed by the committees has been engaged in battles with Saudi-led mercenaries and Hadi’s militias in several areas across the country.
