The leader of Lebanon’s resistance movement Hezbollah accuses Saudi Arabia of leading offensives against the movement. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Hezbollah has recently been under fierce political and financial pressure from the Saudi regime BUT that the movement would overcome the difficulties. He added that the kingdom has been threatening and blackmailing Arab and Islamic countries to put pressure on the Lebanese resistance movement. According to Hezbollah leader, Saudi Arabia’s financial sanctions on Hezbollah have been futile because the movement enjoys popular support and receives financial aid from ordinary people. Later in his remarks, Nasrallah described Syria as the backbone of the regional axis of resistance. He said Israel has been trying to break the axis since its 2006 war on Lebanon.
Sayyed Nasrallah: Saudi Ties with ’Israel’ Surfaced, Hizbullah in Best Position
Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah warned Friday of the Saudi conspiracies against the region, slamming the kingdom’s contacts with the apartheid “Israeli” entity.
Addressing a ceremony organized by Hizbullah to honor the Islamic Resistance Support Organization, Sayyed Nasrallah thanked and hailed the efforts of all people and employees at the organization.
Slamming the “Israeli” continuous aggression against the besieged Gaza strip and its people, he urged people to notice the attacks there.
“As long as there are Resistance fighters, who reject occupation, they will always be under attack,” His Eminence mentioned, pointing out that “The resistance movements in Gaza, Palestine and Lebanon have always been targets for conspirators and they will remain so as long as there is a Zionist scheme.”
“As long as Palestine and parts of Lebanon and Syria are occupied, then the resistance will exist,” he said.
Moving on to tackle the Saudi hostile activities against the Resistance, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed Saudi Arabia is responsible for blacklisting Hizbullah.
“The US and “Israel” are more and more realizing the importance of the resistance’s popular incubator and that’s why they are trying to target it and weaken it.”
However, the Resistance Leader assured that “Hizbullah is in the best case from all sides.
“They wanted to break the resistance’s elements of strength, so they targeted the axis of resistance in Syria…”
On this level, Sayyed Nasrallah elaborated “They think that labeling the resistance as a terrorist organization will undermine the confidence of its supporters. They think that tarnishing its reputation will push people away from it, but those addressing this accusation to us are criminal and terrorist regimes.”
As he deplored the Saudi attempt to depict anyone who backs Hizbullah financially as a terrorist, His Eminence assured that everything that is happening is expected.
“Since 1980s we have been witnessing pressures and systematic wars by different countries…We are still in our best situation.”
Sayyed Nasrallah further stated: “The criminal regimes are falsely accusing Hizbullah of corruption and money laundering in order to destabilize the party.”
“We will endure all the measures taken against us,” he vowed.
Hailing some Muslim countries who refused to surrender to the Saudi orders against the resistance, he thanked the Iraqi, the Tunisian and Algerian positions and the position of Indonesia and all those who stood by and supported the resistance.
“Saudi Arabia forms the spearhead of the existing project against the region and its princes’ contacts with the “Israeli” entity went out to the public. The Saudi-“Israeli” contacts are intensifying and a key prince from the ruling family is meeting with Zionist figures. These contacts have started to surface and in Saudi Arabia they are preparing the atmosphere for boosting the contacts with “Israel”.”
On this level, Sayyed Nasrallah highlighted that the issue of the two islands, which Egypt granted to Saudi Arabia, will be an open door to coordinate with “Israel”.
According to Hizbullah Secretary General, Syria forms the base of resistance in Palestine and Lebanon as he went on to criticize Saudi Arabia for leading the war against the resistance in the region.
“The mask fell [from Saudi Arabia]. They are targeting the resistance’s reputation. All the media, diplomatic and social efforts are focused on deepening the animosity with Iran and the resistance movements and the Saudis are carrying on with their battle.”
On the Iranian level, Sayyed Nasrallah confirmed that Iran with all its parties and different sides support the Islamic Resistance movements and will remain the main supporter.
To [the Leader of the Islamic Revolution] Imam Khamenei who continues to stand and support us financially, morally, and culturally, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “We assure you O Sayyed and Imam: what they aspire is a mere mirage.”
On the Yemeni issue, Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized: “In the Yemeni talks, the other side was listing on the opposition delegation items for surrendering, as if they Yemeni opposition were defeated in Yemen.”
“Saudi Arabia is working to escalate the situation in Yemen and Syria. What is preventing the truce in Syria? And who attacked The Eis hills in the southern countryside of Aleppo?”
In parallel, he asserted that Saudi Arabia is exerting efforts to escalate the situation on the ground in Yemen rather than to preserve the ceasefire. As for Syria, Saudi Arabia is strongly pushing for undermining all kinds of ceasefires, especially in Aleppo.”
“Saudi Arabia is trying to torpedo the negotiations in order to achieve its goals. In Kuwait, it is trying to impose surrender terms but the Yemeni answer was clear: “We came here to negotiate, not to surrender.”
Moreover, His Eminence affirmed that the “resistance fighters who have been fighting for years in Yemen and Syria won’t surrender and pave the way for terrorist Daesh [Arabic Acronym for the terrorist “ISIS”/ “ISIL” group] to rule.”
In Geneva, he went on to explain, “the Syrian opposition delegation that is subordinate to Riyadh procrastinates then goes to the negotiations and says “cede power to us.” If these mercenaries rise to power, will they be able to prevent the fall of Syria into the hands of al-Nusra and Daesh?”
On the regional arena, Sayyed Nasrallah cautioned that time is passing and more maliciousness and bloodshed are expected. “You should pay attention and be cautioned and more present in the military, security and political arenas.”
“No one should be fooled by obtaining radical solutions in the region. We should be aware of the confrontation. There are difficult months as the Saudi continues in in his war and inciting sectarianism. He has no problem in inflaming the region from Syria to Iraq and even Lebanon until the end of the US elections.”
Moving to the Lebanese political front, Sayyed Nasrallah underscored that “there is nothing new in the Presidential file in Lebanon. Part of the solution is Lebanese and the other is in Saudi Arabia.”
“There is nothing new regarding the presidential issue and the accusations that Hizbullah is obstructing the elections have not stopped,” he said.
In addition, His Eminence reiterated: “We do not want to engage in an exchange of tirades with anyone. Those who want the elections to happen must know that part of the solution is in Saudi Arabia and the other part is here in Lebanon.”
To those counting on the Iranian stance from the Presidential file, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “Do not count on Iran’s stances and you better negotiate with the relevant parties.”
On the coming municipal polls, he underlined “the importance” of this event, describing municipalities as “mini-governments.”
“Effective participation is needed in the municipal elections and there should not be any approach of despair,” he said, pointing out that “no one should neglect the elections. On the contrary, people should take an active part by casting their votes,” he emphasized, warning people of forming enmity.”
Sayyed Nasrallah also called “the Lebanese to run for municipal councils and take part in the whole process,” urging Hizbullah’s supporters to abide by the candidate lists formed by the party and its allies in all areas across Lebanon.
“We cannot let the people form their own lists or then hundreds of lists will be established,” he warned. “I am certain no one will be completely satisfied with any list but this is the best possible choice.”
