A valuable lesson the Palestinians have given to the world: no matter how badly the deck may be stacked against you, never give up! Tuqu is a town in the Bethlehem Governorate. It is located in the West Bank–internationally recognized as Palestinian land. The soldiers in this video are occupiers in every sense of the word. And in the face of fierce Palestinian determination, they are reduced to looking like doofuses. As I say, it’s a valuable lesson.
Today is April 28–what has been designated as a “day of rage” in Occupied Palestine. From Ma’an News’ coverage:
Ongoing clashes have erupted across the occupied West Bank on Friday, with several Palestinians injured, on what Palestinians are calling the Day of Rage— initially called for by the Fatah movement — in support of hunger-striking Palestinian prisoners who entered the12th day of a mass hunger strike on Friday.Israeli forces heavily fired tear-gas bombs, rubber-coated steel bullets, and live fire during the clashes, which have erupted following Friday prayers in cities, villages and refugee camps in various districts of the West Bank.
