On Friday, Venezuelan Comptroller General banned pro-Israel opposition leader and Governor Miranda province, Henrique Capriles, from running for office for the next 15 years over charges of misappropriating government funds.
Venezuela’s Comptroller General has also linked the pro-Israel Zionist politician to Brazil-based Odebrecht, the Latin America’s largest construction company accused of paying bribes to Latin American governments in order to obtain contracts. Capriles was denounced last February in front of the Public Ministry for allegedly receiving US$3 million from the Brazilian construction company.
Capriles, announced the ruling on Twitter, saying the move was part of an alleged auto-coup taking place in Venezuela. He later called it an act of dictatorship during a televised press conference.
“More than yesterday, more than today, tomorrow there are plenty of reasons to mobilize in the whole country against the auto-coup,” he also posted on Twitter.
Capriles painted the move as an attempt by the socialist government to crack down on the peaceful opposition, failing to mention why the Comptroller General took said action.
Last week, country’s Supreme Court in a decision slammed pro-Capriles majority parliament for inciting anti-government protests in the country. The decision was revoked later in response to Western condemnation. Venezuela’s vice-president, Tareck El Aissami, declared Saturday’s march in Caracas “illegal and unconstitutional,” because the opposition had not received official permission for it.
Capriles lost his 2013 presidential bid to Nicolás Maduro after the death of Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez.
In February 2017, Nicolás Maduro was criticized by the world organized Jewry over his appointing Tareck El-Aissami as country’s new vice-president. Tareek, born into a Lebanese Christian immigrant family, is accused of being a sympathizer of Hizbullah.
Henrique Capriles Radonski was born to a Jewish couple. Capriles who pretends to a Catholic Zionist, is very pro-Israel and anti-Iran even though Venezuela has no diplomatic relations with the Zionist entity while it has built brotherly relations Iran during Chavez-Ahmadinejad presidency (2005-2013).
