Israel Says Merry Christmas to the World with Slaughter in Gaza

Human Rights Defenders from Lebanon , the UK , Poland , Canada , Spain , Italy and Australia are present in Gaza and are witnessing and documenting the current Israeli attacks on Gaza .

Due to Israel 's policy of denying access to international media, human rights defenders and aid agencies to the Occupied Gaza Strip, many of these Human Rights Defenders arrived in Gaza with the Free Gaza Movement's boats. FREE GAZA boats have broken Israel 's siege of Gaza five times in the past four months.

"At the time of the attacks I was on Omar Mukhtar street and witnessed a last rocket hit the street 150 meters away where crowds had already gathered to try to extract the dead bodies. Ambulances, trucks, cars - anything that can move is bringing injured to the hospitals. Hospitals have had to evacuate sick patients to make room for the injured. I have been told that there is not enough room in the morgues for the bodies and that there is a great lack of blood in the blood banks. I have just learned that among the civilians killed today was the mother of my good friends in Jabalya camp." - Eva Bartlett ( Canada ) International Solidarity Movement

"Israeli missles tore through a children's playground and busy market in Diere Balah, we saw the aftermath - many were injured and some reportedly killed. Every Hospital in the Gaza strip is already overwhelmed with injured people and does not have the medicine or the capacity to treat them. Israel is committing crimes against humanity, it is violating international and human rights law, ignoring the United Nations and planning even bigger attacks. The world must act now and intensify the calls for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel ; governments need to move beyond words of condemnation into an active and immediate restraint of Israel and a lifting of the siege of Gaza " - Ewa Jasiewicz (Polish and British) Free Gaza Movement

P.S. Israel says Merry Christmas to the world in the only language it knows: death to the goyim.

I hope naive gentiles are seeing the pattern of zionist "diplomacy." First they starve and disable their enemies [who are any decent human beings that can't swallow zionism] while they're talking peace. Then when they believe they're most vulnerable and unable to fight back, they follow for the kill, which they have been scheming all along.

Is there "good" zionism? Can zionism be had nicely? As long as there is a shred of human decency in the world, there will be resistance to zionism. Today that resistance is named Hezbollah and Hamas. Tomorrow the names may change but there will be resistance. For if there is no resistance to zionism, there is no longer any decency in humanity.

Livni: We Won't Allow Hamastan in Gaza
Readers Number : 33

23/12/2008 Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has invited Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni to discuss escalating violence between Israel and Gaza resistance fighters in a rare visit to Cairo on Thursday.

The invitation was personally extended to Livni on Sunday by her Egyptian counterpart, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, in a telephone conversation. Livni is also set discuss with Mubarak ongoing Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

(Archive)

The visit will be an exception one, since Mubarak usually meets with Israeli officials at the Sinai resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, and not in the Egyptian capital.

As such, the move is likely to be seen as an endorsement by Mubarak of Livni, who is seeking to lead her Kadima party to electoral victory in February's general election.

The invitation to Livni, and not to Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak, is certain to spark speculation that this represented an indirect Egyptian endorsement of Livni in the upcoming elections. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert reportedly approved the trip.

Livni is expected to present Tel Aviv's current stance, which holds that enough is enough – and that Israel is duty-bound to protect its settlers from the incessant rocket and mortar fire from Gaza.

"We will not allow the prolonged existence of a Hamastan state in Gaza," Livni said during a Kadima security convention in preparation for her visit to Egypt.

"We need to retrieve the power of deterrence. Every decision made about Gaza needs to come from an empowered stance," she added. "The objective is Hamas. Hamas is responsible for everything that happens in Gaza, politically and economically. Israel has no interest in harming innocent civilians, but it must respond," she claimed.

Livni stressed that "Kadima's policy for the long run is to destroy Hamas and by then – to retrieve the IDF's power of deterrence and protect the residents."

In her meeting with the Egyptian president Livni will discuss the over 300 Palestinian rockets fired from Gaza into the occupied territories since November, when the lull agreed upon between the two sides was fractured.

MP Odwan: Egypt bound by law to open Rafah crossing

[ 23/12/2008 - 04:23 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)-- Hamas MP Dr. Atef Odwan has underlined that the Camp David agreement and the Rafah border agreement of 2005 did not prohibit Egypt from opening the Rafah border crossing.

Odwan told Quds press that Egypt's continued closure of the crossing makes it an accomplice to the siege on the Strip and Egypt has to open the terminal to prove the contrary.

He said that even if Egypt was bound by the Camp David and Rafah agreements it should abide by the international laws that supersede any local law or bilateral agreements. He explained that the international law prohibits endangering lives of an entire community.

There are also the humanitarian laws that dictate on Egypt and others to extend whatever is necessary to a community that is under siege, Odwan pointed out.

‘Obama on Gaza: “No Comment”

By Justin Raimondo ∙ AntiWar.com ∙ December 27, 2008

There was no immediate comment on the Israeli air strikes on Gaza from Obama, who is vacationing with his family in Hawaii, or his staff.”

This is how our incoming President has reacted to the worst attack on the Palestinian people in 20 years – by not reacting at all.

The Bush White House, of course, has responded as we all know they would: Israel-has-the-right-to-defend itself, let the killing begin, etc., ad nauseum.

And don’t expect much better from the Obama camp. Remember how he scolded the UN for daring to even discuss the Gaza situation?:

We have to understand why Israel is forced to do this… Israel has the right to respond while seeking to minimize any impact on civilians. The Security Council should clearly and unequivocally condemn the rocket attacks… If it cannot bring itself to make these common sense points, I urge you to ensure that it does not speak at all.”

With his silence – or, at least, his very delayed reaction – it seems clear that Obama is taking his own advice. Even as Israel takes the possibility of a new page in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict off the agenda, and sabotages all his brave talk about a renewed US diplomatic effort, the great “liberal” hope is apparently tongue-tied. And when he finally speaks, “progressives” should prepare for the worst: after all, this is someone who endorsed the Israeli re-invasion of Lebanon.

The Israeli-Palestinian “peace process”? The Israelis, for their part, are having none of it – and neither is our future President.

Gaza Voices, American Silence

24 hours after Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni's visit to Cairo

Barhoum: The IOF air raids mass execution of Gaza inhabitants

[ 27/12/2008 - 02:41 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)-- Hamas on Saturday charged that the Israeli occupation forces' carnage in the Gaza Strip was made with the green light of regional parties and constituted a mass execution of the Gaza people.

Barhoum, in a statement, pointed out that the raids came 24 hours after Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni's visit to Cairo where it met with the Egyptian president and senior officials then talked in a press conference about toppling Hamas's rule in Gaza.

He said that such a massacre was possible thanks to Arab silence, European collusion and American support for Israeli occupation.

"This bloody day was never witnessed before in the Gaza Strip", Barhoum underlined, adding that 150 martyrs fell in less than half an hour while 200 others were injured.

He finally asked the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, to strongly retaliate to the IOF aggression and to use all means available to defend the Palestinian people.

Jihad: Official Arab silence toward aggression unjustified

[ 27/12/2008 - 02:26 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)-- The Islamic Jihad Movement on Saturday lashed out at the official Arab silence vis-à-vis the Israeli occupation forces' crimes in the Gaza Strip, describing it as "unjustified".

The movement in a statement said that killing innocents and declaring war in such a manner and voicing threats from the heart of an Arab country against the Palestinian people should not pass unnoticed.

The "Israeli enemy" has launched a "rabid" war on the Palestinians killing dozens with the collusion of many parties with the aim of exterminating resistance, Jihad charged.

It asserted that resistance would not stop in face of those crimes but would rather escalate, and added that scenes of murder and devastation "would not lead us to despair even if we remained alone in the battle".

Islamic Jihad asked the Arab and Islamic masses to hit the streets in support of the Palestinian people and resistance.

The rains of death in Gaza

We woke up this morning to the news in Gaza. It seems we always wake up to news there- so its become a matter of perspective how bad the news is each time; how remote it seems each time; how real or not; how severe-and whether the severity warrants an "international outcry" or whether the animals can continue to fester in their cages for a while longer.

We received a call from my in-laws in Lebanon at an early hour, checking in on my family in Gaza, since they cannot call them directly. We call my parents. My father does not answer. We call his mobile- we reach him. He has just returned from Shifa hospital- we hold our breaths.

"We are OK. We went to donate blood and to see if they needed any help" says my father, a retired surgeon.

"We were in the souk when the strikes began- I saw the missiles falling and prayed; the earth shook; the smoke rose; the ambulances screamed" he said, the sirens audible in the background.

My parents live in the the city center, and the Israeli war planes attacked people and locations all around their house, walking distance in fact. Over 50 "targets"by 60 warplanes. And nearly 200 Palestinians. Like a game, if you say it enough times, it does not sound real anymore. 50 targets, 60 warplanes, 200 people. Very sanitary.

"There is a funeral passing every minute. The bodies are piling up." Gaza's air is satured with the acrid smell of burning human flesh. There is panic, as one would imagine dogs would panic in an overcrowded sell when several of their own are violently, abruptly killed. But that would create an outcry.

The rains of death continue in Gaza.

And it will all seem, in the end of the day, that they are somehow a response to rocket attacks. As though the situation were not only acceptable- but normal, in the absence of such attacks. The warden improves the living conditions now and then, in varying degrees of relatively, but the prison doors remain sealed. And so when there are 20 hours of power outages in a row, the prisoners wish that they were only 8; or 10; and dream of the days of 4.

The second and most scared Intifada is coming

The continious massive killing of Palestinian civilians , the racist attacks by settlers , Akka riots , the unhuman blockade and the current offensive in Gaza approved by the traitor Mubarrak , beside the silence of the west and the Arab world have compounded together to push the Palestinians into the Tipping Point and to unleash the second and most scared Intifada on the occupied Palestinian territories.

The second intifadais is coming and the enemy has to fear the people to whom he left nothing else to lose.

The Rockets of Hunger and Israeli Propaganda

Kawther Salam - The Rockets of Hunger and Israeli Propaganda

http://palestinethinktank.com/2008/12/26/kawther-salam-the-rockets-of-hunger-and-israeli-propaganda/

I received a message from the photojournalist and peace activist Sameh Habeeb from Gaza while I was looking at the news in the Austrian TV, which pierced my ears with talk about the rockets which Hamas supposedly shoots at the "innocent Israeli occupation" which has jailed one and half million in Gaza since before Al-Aqsa Intifada broke out.

This rocket picture was published at the ORF website (Pic Credit: MOHAMED SABER/EPA/ORF)

This rocket picture was published at the ORF website (Pic Credit: MOHAMED SABER/EPA/ORF)

The rockets shown on Austrian TV looked to me like the fancy Bengala Rockets which are shot here while celebrating new year, and the clips shown on TV raise many questions:

- The picture published at the ORF website is credited to "MOHAMED SABER/EPA". Those are two first names and no family name. Who is this person? Why does he not present himself with a family name as any Arab would do? Does he exist at all or is he a fabrication?

- The rockets depicted in that picture (and on the video) look more like the fancy bengalas which can be bought in many shops all over the world before festivities than any known weapon.

- These so-called "rockets" appear to not have place for fuel or an engine, but they are supposed to fly 10-15Km ? How do they accomplish this miracle?

- How did ORF and other western media come into possession of this video which supposedly shows "Hamas fighters" shooting rockets from between fruit trees? Was it distributed by the Israeli embassy? Neither Austrian nor other western journalists are known to go to Gaza, so they can only have received them from the Israeli government, and that is what a link to exactly there from the ORF page suggests.

- If the firing of these rockets from Gaza can be doubted, from where else could they have been fired? From within Israeli territory perhaps? Could it be that the firing of these rockets is a propaganda campaign implemented by the IDF in order to "justify" a long-planned massacre against the people of Gaza?

- Could it be that the IDF is using the inhabitants of Sderot, Asqelon and other places around Gaza in order to construct a justification for genocide against a people who are already half hungered to death?

- Why did nobody ask these questions before showing the clip at several European TV stations? If western media are not sloppy in their research and their checking of sources but still publish material which is obvious propaganda, is it possible to say that this irresponsible and less than professional attitude, the wholesale regurgitation of Israeli propaganda, is tantamount to complicity in the genocide against the Palestinian people?

Even in the unlikely case that these rockets are "real", they would be an understandable yet lamentable reaction to years of illegal siege and murderous mayhem perpetrated by the Israeli regime. In this case they would be "rockets of hunger", wholly justified under international law, which allows an invaded people to defend itself with anything at their disposal.

The Israeli occupational regime is preparing to slaughter the besieged people of Gaza, and it is known that they are currently running a strong propaganda campaign around the world, controlling the international public opinion and turning their own crimes against humanity into "reactions" of the Gaza rockets.

The hungry people of Gaza under the Israeli blockade. (Pic Credit: Sameh Habeeb)

The less than objective international media has adopted the Israeli propaganda wholesale, and continues repeating their falsified stories as a preparation for destroying Gaza over the heads of one and a half million mostly defenseless people, of whom about half are children.

Non of the European media has shown an objective picture about the real situation in Gaza, which is in fact and effect a concentration camp. Even during the previous truce between Israel and Gaza, the criminal state of Israel continued its blockade to hunger out and destroy to the Palestinians in Gaza.

I would ask the well-paid international dispensers of propaganda and the world governments some simple questions:

If somebody jails you in a ghetto for over six years, or even six days, denying you the most basic of human rights, continues blockading the ghetto, killing the sick people, occupying the sky, shelling, and killing people for no discernible reason, will you stay a peaceful people for even a second?
Is there any peace under the continued hunger and blockade?

This is the story of Gaza and of these useless rockets which you are using to justify the Israeli genocide, murdering, and jailing and starving people.

The message from the hungry people of Gaza, a voice lost under western propaganda and which more people should hear, follows. And here are more photos of the hungry Palestinians of Gaza.

Sameh Habeeb writes:

My Misery in Gaza pushed me to report on the Hunger of my people. I stopped by al shanty bakery mid of Gaza City. It is one of the biggest bakeries across Gaza which provides tens of thousands with bread. Hundreds of people crowded outside the bakery in a very long long row waiting for bag of bread. Children, women and men were awaiting the chance to have the bread which is totally running out in Gaza.

Abed Mas’od, 24, is a labour working in Al shanty bakery. I spoke to him whilst he was very busy preparing bread for thousands. I managed to get some information out of him.

Before the deadly crisis of bread which started 2 days ago; this bakery was preparing 30 bags of flour. But with today it makes around 100 each bag weights 60 Kilograms. Abed refers to this rise of bread-making quantity to the unrecorded request of population for bread which came after Israel ban flour into Gaza and closed borders.

"Our bakery is out of bread since days and what we have is only for another 24 hours. In fact, we have stopped our work yesterday as we ran out of flour. Now, we use grain (fodder) used for animals which will finish in hours." Bakery labor said.

Amongst the crowd a woman’s voice arose above all people in the row. She started to scream and appealed for God requesting a salvation and easing for life conditions. I came closer to the woman, then introduced myself and then started to ask her some questions. The woman, Om Ali Shoman,45, with a pale bleak face draws the suffering of entire populations.

She said, "This is our destiny. It’s a conspiracy machinated against us. What’s the fault of my children at home to stay with no bread. Did they fire rockets? Did they kill Israelis? Are they holding guns?

The number of Gaza bakeries is 47 but now the working ones are 14 only.
Normally, Gaza needs 450 tons of flour; 100 goes for bakeries and 300 for house use. Part of the house share flour is being provided by UNRWA which halted its work lately. The remaining flour and wheat quantities would be covering the needs of people except for few days.

Khazar jews start another act of genocide

I'm looking at PressTV right now showing live links from Gaza and it appears that the Khazar Jew terrorists have launched an air attack against the defenceless population of Gaza. Pictures show at least 20 Palestinian policemen lying prostrate on the floor, the majority of which are undoubtedly dead. Latest reports suggest at least 200 Palestinian civilians killed already.

More air strikes happening right now, smoke coming from many buildings.

Livni Vows from Cairo to End Hamas Control in Gaza

Livni Vows from Cairo to End Hamas Control in Gaza

Abu Gheit is worried about Shalit, and, Gaza operation getting out of the hand of Israel
Egypt FM: Gaza Operation May Lead to Harming of Shalit

26/12/2008 Captured Israeli occupation soldier Gilad Shalit is alive and being treated well by his captors, but an Israeli operation in the Gaza Strip may hurt efforts to bargain for his release, Egypt's foreign minister told Israeli daily Haaretz Thursday.

Ahmed Aboul Gheit also warned Israel that the situation in Gaza "might get out of hand".

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni landed in Cairo Thursday and met with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Omar Suleiman, the head of the country's intelligence service and Gheit. She told them Israel will not continue to restrain itself from responding to the barrage of rockets launched by Gazan resistance fighters for long.

Shalit was high on the agenda in all of Livni's meetings but Thursday Gheit admitted that Egyptian talks on the issue have collapsed.

"The situation has slid again to a confrontation," Gheit said. "We are hoping that both parties would restrain their actions. Hence they would allow us to build and to establish that situation where by we can bring an end to the tension, then to restore the quiet and then we would work on Gilad Shalit anew."

Gheit said the security situation was linked to talks regarding a prisoner swap that would entail the release of Shalit. A military operation by the Israeli army would be hazardous to such a process, he said.

"He is part of a bigger and more general problem between Hamas and Israel," Gheit said, referring to Shalit. "My understanding from our own intelligence is he is okay and well treated."

Gheit did not talk about the possibility that an aggressive Israeli operation may spill over or affect Egypt as well.

"It might get out of hand," he explained. "We are warning both that it is better not to clash militarily. Help us to help you. [An Israeli army operation] will be bad because people would suffer on both sides and then the possibility of reconciling differences and of finding lasting solutions will diminish."

Egypt's foreign minister said he understood Israeli anger over the constant indiscriminate firing of rockets at the occupied territories.

He added that Israel was partly to blame for the renewal of hostilities after the six months relative calm of the ceasefire, tying the Palestinian resistance fighters attacks to an Israeli army operation carried out a few weeks before the truce ended in which at least three armed Gazans were killed.

"It was the killing of some Palestinian activists in Gaza more then a month ago when Israel said that there is a tunnel that will be used for a military operation," he said. "So we think that you need to not provoke them and they need to not provoke you."

While Gheit remained calm for most of the interview when asked about the issue of arms smuggling from Egypt into Gaza he lost his temper.

"No arms are going through Egypt to Gaza," the diplomat snapped before allowing the interviewer to complete his question.

On Wednesday, Palestinian sources told the London-based Arabic-language newspaper al-Quds al-Arabi that Egyptian Intelligence Minister Omar Suleiman said that "Hamas' leadership must be reined in, even in Damascus."

Egypt, he said, "would not object to a limited Israeli incursion in the Strip, which can topple Hamas regime and bring an end to the Gazans' suffering." Suleiman reportedly made the remark during a meeting with Amos Gilad, head of the Israeli Defense Ministry's Security-Diplomatic Bureau, in Cairo last week.

AVRAHAM BURG; THE RIGHT TO STAY, NOT THE ROR

Once a Political Riser, an Israeli Challenges His Country’s Identity

Rina Castelnuovo for The New York Times

Avraham Burg at his home in Nataf, Israel.

Published: December 19, 2008

JERUSALEM — THERE was a time not so long ago when Avraham Burg was viewed by many Israelis as proof that the inherent tensions of Zionism — religious versus secular, insular versus worldly, Jewish state versus state of all its citizens — could be reconciled with grace. Here was a religiously observant Jew with a cosmopolitan outlook, a decorated paratrooper who believed deeply in peace with the Arabs, an eloquent, fast-rising public figure accessible to a broad range of citizens.

Widely known by his nickname, Avrum, Mr. Burg, a happily married father of six and the son of one of Israel’s most admired and longest-serving government ministers, was talked about as a candidate for prime minister. Long before his 50th birthday, he led the World Zionist Organization and served as speaker in Parliament.

But four years ago Mr. Burg not only walked away from politics, but also basically walked away from Zionism. In a book that came out last year and has just been translated and released in the United States, he said that Israel should not be a Jewish state, that its law of return granting citizenship to any Jew should be radically altered, that Israeli Arabs were like German Jews during the Second Reich and that the entire society felt eerily like Germany just before the rise of Hitler.

In other words, rather than reconciling the country’s complex tensions, Mr. Burg ended up imploding from them.

“I realized something about myself and Israel that frightened me,” he said recently, looking back over the past few years. “I realized that Israel had become an efficient kingdom with no prophecy. Where was it going? What is a Jewish democratic state? What does it mean that Jews define themselves by genetics 60 years after genetics were used against them?”

Israel is no stranger to self-examination. Its leaders and thinkers, indeed many of its average citizens, are aware that nearly everything about the place defies normal categorization and is subject to debate. This is a source of both pride and irritation. But many said Mr. Burg, 53, was not just asking delicate questions. He was poisoning the well from which the nation — and he — had long drawn their water.

As Ari Shavit, a writer for the newspaper Haaretz, said to him in an interview when the book was published here: “Your book is anti-Israel in the deepest sense. It is a book from which loathing of Israeliness emanates.”

Mr. Burg rejected that accusation and still does. He wrote from love, he said, and if the issues he raised were troubling, if they caused a stir, that was very much his aim.

There is no doubt that he raises some serious questions: Is Israel too focused on the Holocaust as a touchstone of history? Can it stay both Jewish and democratic over the long term, or is it time to look for another model? What kind of future is there for Israeli Arabs?

Less clear, however, is whether Mr. Burg has provided any serious answers. This is partly because his book and discourse vacillate between two poles: congratulating Jews and the Zionist movement for their success so far, but warning them that they are turning into a kind of self-justifying Sparta, a warlike state on the verge of tragedy.

His central point is summed up in the English title of his book: “The Holocaust Is Over; We Must Rise From Its Ashes” (Palgrave Macmillan). The Nazi slaughter of six million Jews, he says, has become the central theme of Israeli life, dominating it in a way that distorts the country’s outlook. Teenagers are sent on trips to Auschwitz; every enemy of Israel (Yasir Arafat, the Palestinian leader; Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran) is viewed as the reincarnation of Hitler.

MR. BURG has shifted the title of his book over the years. When he was writing it, he called it “Hitler Won.” When he published it in Hebrew he called it “Defeating Hitler.”

Partly, he said in the interview, his thinking is evolving, and partly his American editors made some smart cuts and suggestions. But it also seems clear that he has modified and adjusted his arguments, especially for a foreign audience. The English version does not have some of his more alarming assertions in the Hebrew one — for example, that the Israeli government would probably soon pass the equivalent of the Nuremberg laws, with provisions like a prohibition on marriage between Jews and Arabs.

Asked what precipitated his initial shift from mainstream public figure to more marginal public scourge, Mr. Burg pointed to a process that began in 2001 when he ran for leadership of the Labor Party and lost in a tight race that he says was stolen from him through back-room deals.

It was not so much the loss, he asserted, as the realization that he had poured his heart and soul into trying to win something that he had thought so little about.

“I knew how to get elected, but what was I going to do once I got there?” he recalled thinking. Maybe, he felt, it was lucky that he lost.

Exposing PA Traitors spying for Usrael

You want to read this too.

I'm SHOCKED.

Now it is all too clear why the US and the EU support a scoundrel like AbbASS and pour millions of euros unto "his" usurper so-called government. Shame on Fayyad too. Shame on him and his descendency!

Espionage activities of PA security apparatuses disclosed

[ 26/12/2008 - 12:21 PM ]

DOHA, (PIC)-- Senior political official of the Hamas Movement Mohammed Nazzal has unveiled Wednesday some of the "serious" documents seized by his Movement from offices of the defunct PA security apparatuses in the Gaza Strip that implicate them in espionage activities harmful to the Palestinian cause.

He also disclosed that officials and elements of those defunct apparatuses that were routed in the Gaza Strip 18 months ago were involved in spying on Arab and Muslim countries in favor of the USA, Israel, and other European countries, in addition to spying on PA chief Mahmoud Abbas.

Nazzal's remarks were made in a live interview with the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera satellite TV channel in Doha, where he also accused the PA security apparatuses of turning themselves into a " weapon for hire".

According to Nazzal, the PA intelligence department spied on Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, and Sudan in favor of the United States, Israel, France, and other European counties in exchange for money.

He also pointed out that the seized documents comprised photos, voice recordings, CDs, video tapes, and letters bearing names and signatures of high-ranking officials in the PA spy agency.

According to Nazzal, the PA intelligence spied on the Pakistani nuclear reactor, in addition to spying on the Sudanese Al-Shefa pharmaceutical factory in July 1998.

The factory was bombed by the US warplanes one month after the PA intelligence collected information about it on allegation it was producing chemical weapons.

Furthermore, Nazaal highlighted that the infamous PA security department was also spying on Arab migrants in France, in addition to coordinating with it in penetrating Iraqi and the Palestinian resistance as well as Muslim organizations in Europe and India.

Internal activities:
On the internal level, Nazzal confirmed that the ill-fated PA preventive security apparatus, which was founded by the disgraced Fatah leader Mohammed Dahalan, was involved in spying on PA officials with the aim to "extort them and to confiscate their political decision".

He also revealed, with documents, that the said apparatus was also involved in spying on Mahmoud Abbas after elements on the apparatus planted spying devices in the office and under the chair of Abbas.

Moreover, Nazzal presented documents that he said involve the preventive security department in liquidating Hisham Makki, the chairman of the PA TV and Radio bureau in 2001, and the attempt to assassinate Fatah leader Nabil Amr, the incumbent PA ambassador in Egypt.

In addition, Nazzal displayed a document that he said was prepared by the Israeli security institution to fight and uproot Hamas and charitable organizations in Palestine, which he revealed was initially implemented by those apparatuses in 1998 but was halted after the eruption of the Aqsa intifada in 2000.

Nazzal stressed that the "unconstitutional" PA government of Salam Fayyadh in Ramallah has revived the plan and has carried out the mission in the West Bank after Hamas Movement controlled security in Gaza Strip in June last year.

Finally, Nazzal asserted that officials of the PA security departments had lured high-ranking PA officials into "immoral" acts and kept the evidence with the aim to extort them and to seize their political will and decision.

Pharaoh Warned Livini: Magic may turn against Magicians. "Help us to help you."

Is Abu Gheit really worried about Shalit??
He is worried about his ASS, Gaza operation may get out of the hand of Israel

In other word, Israel may Start the War on Gaza, but can't end it and may spill over Egypt as well.

So he told Livini:
"Help us to help you."

Tzipi Livni replied:

"Hamas's control of the Gaza Strip is not only Israel's problem, we understand the needs of Egypt but what we are doing is an expression of the needs of the region."
In other words:

GO TO HELL, YOU FAILED TO TROPPLE HAMAS, WE HAVE TO ACT BEFORE ITS TOO LATE

Born of Jewish Parents...and Then What?

Since I asked the Zionist intruders: Whats a JEW... They Vanished...

Here is an answer from a decent "Jew":

Born of Jewish Parents...and Then What?

Many years ago, a neighbor chided me. "You're not having your son Bar Mitzvah'd?"

I replied "No"

"But how will he know what he is?" She continued with what she thought was a convincing argument.

The question confused me since it seemed to make no sense whatsoever.

"Hopefully, he will know that he is a human being," I responded weakly.

The discussion ended.

Though I was born of Jewish parents I have not related to the religion in more years than I care to tally. And yet, in the eyes of some, I will always be Jewish. While certain people look at this as a "badge of specialness" others see it as a "blood born disease" The latter group holds me responsible for all the evils that the Jews have, in the past, and are, in the present, perpetrating. The former group smiles at me knowingly, crediting me with a high I.Q and a good business sense. I won't argue my I.Q., but anyone who knows me ...knows that I am business "senseless."

Some people use the words Judaism and Zionism interchangibly. At those times, I am credited with Israel's behavior, its crimes and it's sense of entitlement. I also become the recipient of the "right of return." a right that sounds more clearly like a "wrong." And so, as I drown in a sea of labels, comments, and criticisms, I find myself lost in a private world of fear and sorrow.

Last year, I was having a conversation with an Orthodox Jewish Coworker. I confessed my ignorance about the holidays and said that I did not identify with the Jewish religion. She responded "The man with the mustache would consider you Jewish"

"Who? Groucho Marx?" I replied flippantly.

I have studied many religions along the way, and though I can squeak out some value, I find more cons than pros. (and I mean "cons") Religions are manipulative....religions are divisive.....religions are exclusive. Religions become excuses for entitlement. Religions, in the minds of their followers, earn them favored status with God.

Raising my children presented a challenge. Remember the neighbor at the beginning of my piece? Our culture is separated into various "clubs" which not only become places of worship and identity but places of socialization as well.

I have raised three beautiful children. You'll pardon the cliche. I realize that nobody ever says, "I have raised three ugly children."

Children present challenges best reserved for another essay, but, suffice it to say, with all the struggles and obstacles, I am deeply grateful for the experience.. One of the great lessons I have learned is that children are not extensions of their parents. They are not on earth to accomplish the things that their parents failed to do. That was not an easy lesson. And so, I never imposed religion on any of them, though my youngest followed me along my windy path of belief systems. Today, at 22, he proclaims that he is a proud " nothing"

My middle boy, married a lapsed Catholic and also joined the club of "nothing."

My daughter, for quite some time, related to Wicca. However, after viewing the movie "Schindler's List," she stated that she had "discovered her Jewish Identity. (I will refrain from a review of the movie since, I believe, some Pandora's Boxes should be opened at a future date. In addition, brevity has always been my trademark. )

I must confess, I saw "Schindler's List"......... in fact I watched it two times. But, then again, I also watched "The Passion of the Christ" twice. I remember sobbing my heart out as I watched "Schindler's List." But, then again, I sobbed equally as forcefully during "The Passion of the Christ," Whether a film is an authentic portrayal of man's inhumanity, or merely a manipulative celluloid experience, is not a question that goes through the mind of this emotional viewer as I sit glued to the "big screen." While I am in the theater, I remain the proverbial "captive audience." Critical thinking is gently ushered out the back door and awaits me patiently at my home, long after my emotional response has retreated.

And so, whether or not this is the place the dispute the veracity of the facts of "Schindler's List," one thing is clear. There has been a plethora of Holocaust films, each one designed to curry favor for the Jewish people. And, as a result, I cannot but question why they've achieved what appears akin to the "suffering medal, " History is replete with the suffering of so many groups of people. There is an incredibly vast amount of material awaiting an erstwhile filmmaker.

Haven't the Black people earned more than a mini series called "Roots?" And when was the last time you saw a three hour film on the slaughter of the Native Americans? Perhaps a few television hours should be devoted to a mini series on the Palestinians. A good place to begin would be John Pilger's film "Palestine is Still the Issue." Suffering is not the domain of one race, one religion, or one ethnicity.

Recently an Internet friend told me about one of his good friends who was born of Jewish parents. After a delving deeply into the religion and, perhaps, all religions, he no longer identified with the religion of his birth. When asked what he is, he replies "I'm a critical thinker." I deeply resonated with the man's description and I hope that if I ever have any correspondence with this "critical thinker," he will regard my imitation as a sincere form of flattery.

My last essay compared Zionism to Judaism. It talked about my past as well as the difference between the religion Judaism, and the dangerous geo political movement, Zionism. It talked about how the Jewish people are being duped by the Zionists. (who are a mixture of many religions, by the way)

The response was, for the most part, quite favorable. Interestingly, however, there were a couple of Jewish people who called me a white supremacist (my Black friends got a kick out of this) In contrast, there was a man who stated that I was just a "non religious Jew" who, at the end of the day, still played favorites. "A Jew is still a Jew." I was told by him.

Although I tried, how could I convince these critics that they had totally missed the mark? How could I convey my essence on a computer screen and an Arial font? I could only feel the pain of being misunderstood.

And so....I live in a dilemma. I read the Internet news and where it leaves off, my mind picks up. I fear the worst. I watch how easily people are manipulated. I watch how easily people hate. I watch how easily people accept murder and torture. I watch how easily people grasp onto a "common enemy" ....a "scapegoat."

Does it sound as if I have lost faith in humanity? Maybe hope springs eternal, but not in this heavy heart on this drizzly June morning in the year of 2005.

Gilad Atzmon - The Wisdom of Edwin Montagu

By Gilad Atzmon • Dec 26th, 2008 at 14:54 • Category: Analysis, Biography, Documents, Gilad Atzmon, Gilad's Choice, Israel, Newswire, Our Authors, Palestine, Religion, War, Zionism

The following is a Memorandum written by Edwin Montagu commenting on the Balfour declaration. It was submitted to the British Cabinet on 23 August 1917.

Though Montagu speaks wisdom in each sentence, his suggestions were ignored. Montagu probably failed to realise that the Balfour declaration was a token the British had to pay in order to pull America into the war.

In his remarkable book The Pity Of It All, Amos Elon (Penguin 2004) provides a very interesting historical insight into the subject. Seemingly, within the eve of the first war, some very powerful Jewish German lobbies were operating in America. Prominent German American Jews protested against America joining England and France. In a statement to the New York Times on 22 November 1914, Jacob H Schiff, head of Khun, Loeb - at the time the second largest private bank in the US - charged the British and French with attempting to destroy Germany for reasons of trade (Elon, 253). Needless to say. the East European Jews who emigrated to the USA evading Anti-Semitic Czarist Russia regarded the German army as a liberator. At large, American Jewry was pro-German.

The British Government took these developments rather seriously. At the time the British Ambassador to the United States suspected a 'Jewish conspiracy in America'. The 1917 Balfour Declaration was largely an attempt to divert the anti-English feelings amongst World Jewry in general and widespread among American Jews in particular. According to Montagu, the declaration is itself largely anti-Semitic.

I have a good reason to believe that Montagu was not aware of the declaration being a highly manipulative British act that was there to serve the British militant interests. Yet, his criticism of the declaration is a must read.

As Montagu detects, Jews are not a nation, as Montagu predicted, Zionism would lead the Nations to cleanse their Jewish population, something that indeed happened just two decades later in central Europe. As Montagu spotted, Jews have no exclusive intrinsic connection to Palestine, therefore do not deserve any special rights on the land. Zionism says Montagu, would stop the Jew from joining the nations. It would turn Palestine into the 'Jewish world’s Ghetto'.

How correct was Montagu! Israel is indeed the worst Jewish Ghetto this world has ever known. A ghetto that is powerful enough to reduce this planet into dust. Israel is the Jewish world’s ghetto that throws bombs on innocent civilians on a daily basis. How right was Montagu and how devastatingly deaf was the British cabinet to ignore his astute reading of the future to come.

Montagu Memorandom on the Anti-Semitism of the British Government

Memorandum of Edwin Montagu on the Anti-Semitism of the Present (British) Government - Submitted to the British Cabinet, 23 August 1917

I have chosen the above title for this memorandum, not in any hostile sense, not by any means as quarrelling with an anti-Semitic view which may be held by my colleagues, not with a desire to deny that anti-Semitism can be held by rational men, not even with a view to suggesting that the Government is deliberately anti-Semitic; but I wish to place on record my view that the policy of His Majesty's Government is anti-Semitic in result will prove a rallying ground for Anti-Semites in every country in the world.

This view is prompted by the receipt yesterday of a correspondence between Lord Rothschild and Mr. Balfour.

Lord Rothschild's letter is dated the 18th July and Mr. Balfour's answer is to be dated August 1917. I fear that my protest comes too late, and it may well be that the Government were practically committed when Lord Rothschild wrote and before I became a member of the Government, for there has obviously been some correspondence or conversation before this letter. But I do feel that as the one Jewish Minister in the Government I may be allowed by my colleagues an opportunity of expressing views which may be peculiar to myself, but which I hold very strongly and which I must ask permission to express when opportunity affords.

I believe most firmly that this war has been a death-blow to Internationalism, and that it has proved an opportunity for a renewal of the slackening sense of Nationality, for it is has not only been tacitly agreed by most statesmen in most countries that the redistribution of territory resulting from the war should be more or less on national grounds, but we have learned to realise that our country stands for principles, for aims, for civilisation which no other country stands for in the same degree, and that in the future, whatever may have been the case in the past, we must live and fight in peace and in war for those aims and aspirations, and so equip and regulate our lives and industries as to be ready whenever and if ever we are challenged. To take one instance, the science of Political Economy, which in its purity knows no Nationalism, will hereafter be tempered and viewed in the light of this national need of defence and security. The war has indeed justified patriotism as the prime motive of political thought.

It is in this atmosphere that the Government proposes to endorse the formation of a new nation with a new home in Palestine. This nation will presumably be formed of Jewish Russians, Jewish Englishmen, Jewish Roumanians, Jewish Bulgarians, and Jewish citizens of all nations - survivors or relations of those who have fought or laid down their lives for the different countries which I have mentioned, at a time when the three years that they have lived through have united their outlook and thought more closely than ever with the countries of which they are citizens.

Zionism has always seemed to me to be a mischievous political creed, untenable by any patriotic citizen of the United Kingdom. If a Jewish Englishman sets his eyes on the Mount of Olives and longs for the day when he will shake British soil from his shoes and go back to agricultural pursuits in Palestine, he has always seemed to me to have acknowledged aims inconsistent with British citizenship and to have admitted that he is unfit for a share in public life in Great Britain, or to be treated as an Englishman. I have always understood that those who indulged in this creed were largely animated by the restrictions upon and refusal of liberty to Jews in Russia. But at the very time when these Jews have been acknowledged as Jewish Russians and given all liberties, it seems to b! e inconceivable that Zionism should be officially recognised by the British Government, and that Mr. Balfour should be authorized to say that Palestine was to be reconstituted as the "national home of the Jewish people". I do not know what this involves, but I assume that it means that Mahommedans and Christians are to make way for the Jews and that the Jews should be put in all positions of preference and should be peculiarly associated with Palestine in the same way that England is with the English or France with the French, that Turks and other Mahommedans in Palestine will be regarded as foreigners, just in the same way as Jews will hereafter be treated as foreigners in every country but Palestine. Perhaps also citizenship must be granted only as a result of a religious test.

I lay down with emphasis four principles:

1. I assert that there is not a Jewish nation. The members of my family, for instance, who have been in this country for generations, have no sort or kind of community of view or of desire with any Jewish family in any other country beyond the fact that they profess to a greater or less degree the same religion. It is no more true to say that a Jewish Englishman and a Jewish Moor are of the same nation than it is to say that a Christian Englishman and a Christian Frenchman are of the same nation: of the same race, perhaps, traced back through the centuries - through centuries of the history of a peculiarly adaptable race. The Prime Minister and M. Briand are, I suppose, related through the ages, one as a Welshman and the other as a Breton, but they certainly do not belong to the same nation.

2. When the Jews are told that Palestine is their national home, every country will immediately desire to get rid of its Jewish citizens, and you will find a population in Palestine driving out its present inhabitants, taking all the best in the country, drawn from all quarters of the globe, speaking every language on the face of the earth, and incapable of communicating with one another except by means of an interpreter. I have always understood that this was the consequence of the building of the Tower of Babel, if ever it was built, and I certainly do not dissent from the view, commonly held, as I have always understood, by the Jews before Zionism was invented, that to bring the Jews back to form a nation in the country from which they were dispersed would require Divine leadership. I have never heard it suggested, even by their most fervent admirers, that either Mr. Balfour or Lord Rothschild would prove to be the Messiah.

I claim that the lives that British Jews have led, that the aims that they have had before them, that the part that they have played in our public life and our public institutions, have entitled them to be regarded, not as British Jews, but as Jewish Britons. I would willingly disfranchise every Zionist. I would be almost tempted to proscribe the Zionist organisation as illegal and against the national interest. But I would ask of a British Government sufficient tolerance to refuse a conclusion which makes aliens and foreigners by implication, if not at once by law, of all their Jewish fellow-citizens.

3. I deny that Palestine is to-day associated with the Jews or properly to be regarded as a fit place for them to live in. The Ten Commandments were delivered to the Jews on Sinai. It is quite true that Palestine plays a large part in Jewish history, but so it does in modern Mahommendan history, and, after the time of the Jews, surely it plays a larger part than any other country in Christian history. The Temple may have been in Palestine, but so was the Sermon on the Mount and the Crucifixion. I would not deny to Jews in Palestine equal rights to colonisation with those who profess other religions, but a religious test of citizenship seems to me to be the only admitted by those who take a bigoted and narrow view of one particular epoch of the history of Palestine, and claim for the Jews a position to which they! are not entitled.

If my memory serves me right, there are three times as many Jews in the world as could possible get into Palestine if you drove out all the population that remains there now. So that only one-third will get back at the most, and what will happen to the remainder?

4. I can easily understand the editors of the Morning Post and of the New Witness being Zionists, and I am not in the least surprised that the non-Jews of England may welcome this policy. I have always recognised the unpopularity, much greater than some people think, of my community. We have obtained a far greater share of this country's goods and opportunities than we are numerically entitled to. We reach on the whole maturity earlier, and therefore with people of our own age we compete unfairly. Many of us have been exclusive in our friendships and intolerant in our attitude, and I can easily understand that many a non-Jew in England wants to get rid of us. But just as there is no community of thought and mode of life among Christian Englishmen, so there is not among Jewish Englishmen. More and more we are edu! cated in public schools and at the Universities, and take our part in the politics, in the Army, in the Civil Service, of our country. And I am glad to think that the prejudices against inter-marriage are breaking down. But when the Jew has a national home, surely it follows that the impetus to deprive us of the rights of British citizenship must be enormously increased. Palestine will become the world's Ghetto. Why should the Russian give the Jew equal rights? His national home is Palestine. Why does Lord Rothschild attach so much importance to the difference between British and foreign Jews? All Jews will be foreign Jews, inhabitants of the great country of Palestine.

I do not know how the fortunate third will be chosen, but the Jew will have the choice, whatever country he belongs to, whatever country he loves, whatever country he regards himself as an integral part of, between going to live with people who are foreigners to him, but to whom his Christian fellow-countrymen have told him he shall belong, and of remaining as an unwelcome guest in the country that he thought he belonged to.

I am not surprised that the Government should take this step after the formation of a Jewish Regiment, and I am waiting to learn that my brother, who has been wounded in the Naval Division, or my nephew, who is in the Grenadier Guards, will be forced by public opinion or by Army regulations to become an officer in a regiment which will mainly be composed of people who will not understand the only language which he speaks - English. I can well understand that when it was decided, and quite rightly, to force foreign Jews in this country to serve in the Army, it was difficult to put them in British regiments because of the language difficulty, but that was because they were foreigners, and not because they were Jews, and a Foreign Legion would seem to me to have been the right thing to establish. A Jewish Legion makes the position of Jews in other regiments more difficult and forces a nationality upon people who have nothing in common.

I feel that the Government are asked to be the instrument for carrying out the wishes of a Zionist organisation largely run, as my information goes, at any rate in the past, by men of enemy descent or birth, and by this means have dealt a severe blow to the liberties, position and opportunities of service of their Jewish fellow-countrymen.

I would say to Lord Rothschild that the Government will be prepared to do everything in their power to obtain for Jews in Palestine complete liberty of settlement and life on an equality with the inhabitants of that country who profess other religious beliefs. I would ask that the Government should go no further.
