Radwan added that Abbas is issuing ‘media bubbles’ regarding the release of political prisoners and stopping political arrests while his forces are ongoing with their arrest campaign against Hamas members and supporters.

In a statement to the Palestine Information Center, Dr. Radwan said that as Azzam Al Ahmad, head of the Fateh parliamentarian bloc, declared that the security forces released 20 Hamas political prisoners, 40 new Hamas members were arrested.

‘We want deeds not words’, he said, ‘we demanded a list of political prisoners who would be released, but we never received such a list’.

Radwan further stated that Hamas will not accept the fact that the security forces are releasing political members in day time and arresting others at night.

‘We want an end to the political prisoners file’, he added, ‘Abbas ordered his militias to release the prisoners, but they only released a limited number, and continued to arrest more.’
