Qaddoumi: Abbas, Dahlan involved in poisoning Arafat

Farouq Qaddoumi, the head of PLO's political department and a veteran Fatah leader, has charged that Mahmoud Abbas, the former PA chief, and Fatah MP Mohammed Dahlan were involved in poisoning late PA chief Yasser Arafat.

He told reporters in Amman, Jordan, a couple of days ago that Abbas was adopting unilateral decisions in the Fatah faction and was trying to take hold of power.

Qaddoumi disclosed that minutes of a joint Palestinian-Israeli-American meeting held in early March 2004 proved that the two were involved in the poisoning of Arafat and the assassination of Hamas leader Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Rantisi.

He said that the meeting was attended by Abbas, Dahlan, former Israeli premier Ariel Sharon and his war minister Shaul Mofaz in the presence of an American delegation led by William Burns.

The conferees planned to assassinate a number of Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders, Qaddoumi said, adding that the minutes of that meeting were sent to him by Arafat.

The PLO official said that he was disclosing the incident at the present time to warn the national factions of what is being hatched against them after validating the content of the minutes.

Damascus: Mohammad Dahlan, former Palestinian security minister, allegedly talked about killing former Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.

It is said to have been found in a hand-written letter dated July 13, 2003, addressed to Shaul Mofaz, the then-Israeli minister of defence in Ariel Sharon's cabinet.

Documents like these were discovered at the security offices of Fatah, which were abandoned three weeks ago after the Hamas takeover of Gaza. Since then a war of words - and documents - has been waged between the two Palestinian groups.

Esmail Heya, Hamas Minister of Interior in Gaza, spoke of video cassettes recorded by Dahlan showing senior members of Fatah involved in illegal sexual activity. Dahlan reportedly kept them to blackmail members of his own Fatah movement.

The Lebanese weekly Al Kifah Al Arabi claims Hamas sent copies of these documents - which it describes as a "treasure" to both Jordan and Syria, justifying its position towards Fatah.

The most outrageous document of all is the Dahlan-Mofaz correspondence, which hints at Arafat's assassination and accuses Hamas of being "mafia gangs" without naming it.

It reads: "You must know that we operate according to conviction rather than orders from anyone. We believe that our peoples' interest requires that we completely eradicate mafia gangs that spread chaos between us, along with fear and hatred between. Be sure that we will not let those who are strangers amongst us remain within us."

Dahlan promises to eliminate these mafia gangs "and their thought so that the only ones who remain within us are those who are willing to co-exist with you."

He adds, "Be sure that Mr. Yasser Arafat is now counting his final days but let us slaughter him our way - not yours."

القدومي: عباس تواطأ لاغتيال عرفات

القدومي قال إن عرفات أودع لديه محضرا للقاء سري بين عباس وشارون (الجزيرة-أرشيف)

اتهم أمين سر اللجنة المركزية العليا لحركة التحرير الوطني الفلسطيني (فتح) فاروق القدومي الرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس بالتواطؤ مع السلطات الإسرائيلية لاغتيال الرئيس الفلسطيني الراحل ياسر عرفات.

وقال القدومي في مؤتمر صحفي مصغر بالعاصمة الأردنية عمان الأحد إن عرفات أودع لديه قبل وفاته محضرا لاجتماع سري جمع عباس والمسؤول السابق في الأمن الوقائي الفلسطيني محمد دحلان مع رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي السابق أرييل شارون وضباط من الاستخبارات الأميركية، وتم التخطيط فيه لاغتيال عرفات وقيادات أخرى من فصائل المقاومة الفلسطينية.

الخطوة الأولى
وحسب نسخة موجزة من المحضر تلاها القدومي على الصحفيين الحاضرين للمؤتمر –تلقت الجزيرة نت نسخة منها- فإن شارون قال لعباس ودحلان إنه يجب العمل على قتل كل القادة العسكريين والسياسيين لحركة المقاومة الإسلامية (حماس) وحركة الجهاد الإسلامي والجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين وكتائب شهداء الأقصى التابعة لحركة فتح.

ويضيف شارون –حسب النسخة المذكورة- "يجب أن تكون الخطوة الأولى هي قتل عرفات مسموما، فأنا لا أريد إبعاده إلا إذا كان هناك ضمانات من الدولة المعنية أن تضعه في الإقامة الجبرية، وإلا فإن عرفات سيعود ليعيش في الطائرة" في إشارة إلى تنقلاته الكثيرة في العالم لما كان خارج فلسطين.

وتنسب نسخة المحضر إلى عباس قوله ردا على شارون "إن مات عرفات قبل أن نتمكن من السيطرة على الأرض، وعلى كل المؤسسات، وعلى حركة فتح وكتائب الأقصى، فإننا قد نواجه مصاعب كبيرة".

واقترح عباس –حسب النسخة دائما- تمرير المخططات الإسرائيلية عبر عرفات نفسه بدفعه إلى الموافقة على تصفيات قيادات المقاومة الفلسطينية ليتحمل تبعات ذلك.

مراقبة المقاومين
وتنقل نسخة المحضر عن دحلان قوله لشارون "نحن الآن قمنا بتشكيل جهاز خليط من الشرطة والأمن الوقائي، وتجاوز عدده 1800 شخص. وهذا الخليط حتى نتمكن من استيعاب من تم تزكيته من قبلكم".

وأضاف دحلان "نحن الآن نضع كافة الضباط في كل الأجهزة أمام خيارات صعبة، وسنضيق عليهم بكل الوسائل حتى يتبعونا، وسنعمل على عزل كل الضباط الذين يكونون عقبة أمامنا".

وحسب النسخة فإن دحلان أكد لشارون أنه وضع "أخطر" قيادات حماس والجهاد وكتائب الأقصى تحت المراقبة، وقال "لو طلبت مني الآن أخطر خمسة أشخاص، فإني أستطيع أن أحدد لكم أماكنهم بدقة" مضيفا أنه يعمل على اختراق صفوف التنظيمات الفلسطينية.

ويقول دحلان أيضا متوجها بالحديث لشارون "عوامل النجاح أصبحت بأيدينا، وعرفات أصبح يفقد سيطرته على الأمور شيئا فشينا, وأصبحنا نسيطر على المؤسسات أكثر من السابق (...) وقد أرسلنا لكم كل الوثائق حول تلك المواضيع بالتفصيل".

تصرفات انفرادية
ووزع القدومي أيضا في المؤتمر الصحفي بيانا يتهم فيه الرئيس الفلسطيني "بالاستبداد" في "تصرفاته الانفرادية" و"اقتناص ألقاب" عرفات.

وقال البيان –الذي تلقت الجزيرة نت نسخة منه- إن عباس "طلب تسميته قائدا عاما للثورة، ثم رئيسا لدولة فلسطين في المنفى، وصار مغرما بالألقاب والتسميات اللامعة باسترضاء أعضاء اللجنة المركزية والمجلس الثوري (لحركة فتح) أحيانا، أو بالاحتيال على أعضاء المجلس المركزي الذي لا يملك صلاحيات كهذه".

القدومي اتهم محمود عباس بالاستبداد في "تصرفاته الانفرادية (الجزيرة-أرشيف)
واتهم البيان عباس بأنه "استمرأ الزلل والتعاون والتنسيق مع المحتل الإسرائيلي من خلال لقاءاته الحميمة التي يجريها مع قادة العدو الإسرائيلي باسم المفاوضات السياسية في ظل موافقة أميركية".

وقال البيان إن الرئيس الفلسطيني "أمر باعتقال قدامى المناضلين واستبدلهم برجال أمن حديثي العهد جرى تدريبهم بإشراف الجنرال الأميركي (كيث) دايتون، وأحال على التقاعد أصحاب التجارب الطويلة والخبرات من عسكريين ومدنيين".

وندد بقرار عقد المؤتمر السادس لحركة فتح في مدينة بيت لحم "في حضن الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وعلى مرأى من رجاله وأعوانه"، وتساءل لماذا هذا الإصرار على عقده في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة "هل ليتحكم البعض به وبنتائجه؟ أم لهدم حركة فتح ووصمها بالإذعان لتنقلب إلى حزب سياسي محلي في ظل وصاية إسرائيلية؟".
