GAZA, (PIC)-- A Palestinian security source has warned that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) was trying to reform its net of agents in the Gaza Strip to refresh its information on targets to be hit in any future war.

He told the Quds Press on Tuesday that the IOA had acknowledged the absence of fresh data from its agents in Gaza especially following the recent war on Gaza.

The source noted that Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu had appointed minister without portfolio Yossi Peled as the one in charge of meeting the needs of Palestinian collaborators in a bid to encourage those agents to launch more "serious (espionage) activity" than before.

He recalled that the IOA had dropped tens of thousands of leaflets on the Strip two months ago inciting citizens against the government and resistance and calling on them to cooperate with it.

The security source said that Fatah might send new agents to the Strip within its declared aim to send hundreds of Fatah members allegedly to bridge the gap with Hamas and to accelerate reconciliation.

He said that the IOA was supplying those agents with highly advanced communication means.
