Rezka: Resistance adamant on achieving honorable prisoners' exchange deal

GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Yousef Rezka, the political advisor to Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya, has asserted that resistance would not give up its conditions for releasing captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

Rezka in a statement on Saturday said that Hamas is adamant on an honorable exchange deal by which the number of Palestinian prisoners it specified were set free.

He called on the Israeli public to pressure their government to go ahead with the swap deal, holding the Israeli government responsible for any delay in concluding the deal.

Shalit was captured by the armed wing of Hamas and two other factions on 25/6/2006. The captors demanded the release of all women, sick, and minors from Israeli occupation jails along with highest serving prisoners and others.

The father of the captured soldier addressed a message to Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu telling him that time was passing by and the life of his son "is in your hands". He added, "Pay the price, my son's life is in danger".

The parents of Shalit decided to pitch a tent in front of the premier's office, pledging not to return home unless with their son.
