The channel "France 24" is seeking to clear its image after broadcasting a footage of an unknown woman who claimed that she is the Syrian ambassador in Paris and that she had resigned from her position.

According to a statement issued by the channel, "France 24" decided to "propose a file to the French General Attorney against the woman under the charges of impersonating a job and personal "by claiming to be the Syrian Ambassador in Paris and announcing her resignation from her position."

"There is no doubt that the Syrian Ambassador Lamia Shakour and the Syrian Embassy, which quickly condemned the manipulation, may as "France 24" be in full support of this claim and assist in the investigation that will take place after this lawsuit." The channel clarified.

DAMASCUS- Two police officers on Saturday refuted misleading media reports claiming that they were killed by the security forces because they disobeyed orders.
Brigadier General Hassan Haimoud, Head of al-Manshyya Police Department in Daraa governorate, told the Syrian TV "My friends called me saying that some TV channels gave my name as defected and that I was killed by security forces… Their reports are false and we are still practicing our jobs and responsibilities".
Haimoud added "The purpose of such media reports is incitement… We call upon our citizens not to watch or believe these channels".
For his part, Major Riad Ali Da'as, said "My friend called me last Wednesday and told me that my name was on the tickers of some TV channels as one of 47 officers and policemen martyrs who disobeyed orders to open fire on protesters… These reports are false…. We didn't order any policeman to open fire at protesters…. And we are alive, thanks God".
Earlier, the Syrian TV on Friday made phone calls with Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad al-Farhan and Major Emil Nassar, in which they debunked the media reports broadcast by misleading TV channels on their defection and martyrdom.
