Turkish Opposition Leader Warns Erdogan from Engaging Turkey in Military Act against Syria


Kamal Kelshdar Oglu, head of the Popular Republican Party revealed that Turkey has been engaging in a military act prepared by Western powers against Syria.

In an interview with Hurriyet Turkish newspaper published on Monday, wondered what Turkey's benefit and interest would be from such an act reiterating that it is only responding to foreign demands.

The official added "We differ from the West, and Syria is our neighbor. Turkey should not be a side in this military scheme against Syria." He further called for providing support to Syria by all means, so that it would become more free and democratic.

Kelshdar Oglu warned Turkey from becoming a tool in the hands of Western powers. Describing Syria as an ‘important country in the Middle East region', he called for learning lessons from history and harshly criticized Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Teyyip Erdogan and his unstable stances towards the events taking place in the region.
