OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation police announced a state of alert for Friday fearing Palestinian demonstrations to coincide with the PA’s application for full membership of United Nations.

The occupation police spokeswoman said that they have declared a state of alert of the third degree, just one degree less than maximum alert. This announcement particularly targets the Friday prayers.

Although the state of alert includes all areas of the West Bank, it concentrates on Jerusalem and areas of contact between Palestinians and Israeli occupation soldiers and settlers.
The police statement said that the state of alert will be very obvious in contact areas, roadblocks an mixed areas and that the state will continue until Saturday morning, warning that the occupation police will be out in force and ready for any developments.
