Israeli Watchdog slams Netanyahu

I knew that Israel Hasbara Committee has ‘watchdogs’ on almost every world group which has dared to criticize Zionist regime’s Zionazi policies. The list of Israeli ‘watchdogs’ include UN Watch, Human Rights Watch, Campus Watch, Media Watch, Iran Watch, IAEA Watch, etc. However, I was surprised to find out that there also exists an ‘Israeli Watchdog’ (Ombudsman or State Comptroller). The group is headed by German-born Jewish Judge Micha Lindenstrauss.

On Wednesday, Micha Lindenstrauss released his 153-page report – slamming Israeli hawkish prime minister Benji Netanyahu for ordering the deadly Israeli naval raid on a Gaza-bound ship two years ago.

The timing of the report has certainly harmed Netanyahu’s credibility to win a war against Iran in the eyes of Israeli public.

On May 31, 2010 – Jewish commandos stormed Turkish Mavi Marmara in international waters. Mavi Marmara was part of six-vessel flotilla carrying food and medical supplies for 1.5 million Gazan under Israel seige since 2007 as a collateral punishment for electing Islamic resistance Hamas to lead the Palestinian struggle against the Jewish occupation. The commandos killed eight Turkish citizen and one US-Turkish citizen on board Mavi Marmara.

Substantive and significant deficiencies were discovered in the decision-making process that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu led and oversaw,” says the report.

The prime minister’s decision-making process took place without orderly, coordinated and documented team work, even though the senior political, military and intelligence ranks were aware that the Turkish flotilla was different from other flotillas. He did not internalise that the forcible stopping of the flotilla was liable to spark a violent confrontation on the decks of the Mavi Marmara,” it stated.

The deaths of the Turkish citizens battered relations with Turkey, which had once given Israel a strong ally in the Muslim world.

Now, a Turkish court in Istanbul has agree to try four Israeli Generals for committing war crimes against civilians at international waters. The prosecutor seeks 10 aggravated life imprisonment sentences for former Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Chief of General Staff Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, Naval Forces commander Vice Adm. Eliezer Marom, Israel’s military intelligence chief Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin and Air Forces Intelligence head Brig. Gen. Avishai Levi.
