Eretz (Israel-friendly) Kurdistan

On August 20, 2012, Elizabeth Blade posted a 3-part article at Israel Today, entitled, ‘Quest for an Independent (Israel-friendly?) Kurdistan‘. She claims that the Arab Spring has destablized the Arab world while pitting Muslims against fellow Muslims. This has provided a golden opportunity for the US to use discontended Kurdish communities in Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran in their aspirations (just like Jews) to have and independent homeland of their own. During US occupation of Iraq, Israel has already succeeded in creating an Israel-friendly autonomous Kurdish region (KRG) in southern Iraq.

Elizabeth Blade says that Turkey and several Arab capitals supporting a regime change in Syria – are indirecting helping Syrian Kurds to establish an autonomous region of their which once gained – with the help of Iraqi Kurdistan, will support a semi-independent Kurdistan inside Turkey in the near future.
Turkey may be unwittingly helping the Kurds to fulfill their dream of a Greater Kurdistan, by establishing tight economic ties with the KRG. There are at least 900 Turkish companies currently operating on the territory of northern Iraq, and Turks own an estimated 50% of all major businesses in the area. More than seven percent of Turkish exports have gone to the KRG,” wrote Blade.
There are also common political interests promoting greater Kurdish-Turkish cooperation. Iraq’s central government is heavily influenced by Iran, Turkey’s main regional rival. United by a common religion – Shia Islam – Iraq and Iran have a common interest in maintaining the status quo in Syria, which undermines the Turkish ambition of establishing its control over the Levant and becoming the leader of the Sunni Muslim world,” adds Blade.
US-Israel are pursuing American Zionist Christian Lt. Colonel Ralph Peters’ dream of creating an arc of instability, chaos, and violence extending from Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria, to Iraq, the Persian Gulf, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, to pre-empt any future Muslim threat to the Zionist entity. Peters detailed his vision in an article “Blood Borders: How a Better Middle East Would Look“.

After the demise of Ayubid Dynasty which ruled both Egypt and Syria, in 1250 CE – the Kurd region was divided among Ottoman Sultans and Persian Kings.

After, the western colonization of the region, the English and French colonists further divided the Kurd land by merging some parts of it with Syria and Iraq. The 1920 Treaty of Sevres which created Lebanon, Kuwait and Iraq – was supposed to create an independent state of Kurdistan, which was rejected by Turkey’s General Kemal Pasha along with Iran and Iraq. Kurds predominantly follow Sunni school of thought but some small Kurd communities practice Shia Islam, Judaism, Yazidism and Christianity. Sultan Salahuddin who drove the Franks from Palestine in 1186 CE, was a Kurd.

The break-up of Ottoman empire after the World War – saw two great events in the Muslim East; plan to get rid of unwanted Jewish communities from Europe and the break-up the Kurd region. The winners of the WW I published the notorious Balfour Declaration, calling for the establishment of a Homeland for the European Jews in Arab Palestine. They also divided over 30 -35 million Kurds among Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria.

Kurdish resistance to the colonial powers goes back to the begining of the last century. Kurd communities were oppresed by western-supported regimes in Turkey (14 million), Iraq (6 million), Iran (5 million), Syria (1.5 million) and the rest in Azerbaijan – and the US, Canada and European countries. However, many secularist and communist Kurd leaders found an ally in Israel and among Zionists. The 50,000 Jewish Kurds who had emigrated to Israel – provided the necessary link.

Dr, Mordechai Zaken in his book ‘Jewish Subjects and their Tribal Chieftains in Kurdistan‘ documents the historical links between Kurds (in Iraq) and the Jews, which Israel plan to exploit if its relations with Turkey turn to worse. In September 2006, BBC reported that Israelis were giving military training to Kurd militia in northern Iraq.

After the Islamic Revolution – Tehran created an automonous Kurdistan province which encompasses all of Iranian Kurd lands in the 1980s. The majority of Kurds living in the region belong to Shia branch of Islam. The Iranian Constitution says that the autonomous region of Kurdistan, like the rest of their compatriots throughout Iran, will participate in running the affairs of the country through legal channels and without any form of discrimination.

Turkey, on the other hand, has denied Kurd identity for the last eight decades. The policies of Crypto-Jewish Kemalist regimes and the current AKP toward PKK and Kurd minority are dysfunctional, to say the least. PKK is a terrorist organization which doesn’t represent majority of Kurds in Turkey – but PKK is supported by Israel to keep a check on its Muslim neighbor. AKP, like Kemalist governments before it, believes that eradicating the PKK will solve all Turkish problems. However, by siding with the US and Israel against Syria, Ankara has started digging its own grave. The only winner out of a regime change in Damascus will be the Zionist entity.

Bashar al-Assad on its part, has announced several imporovements in Damascus policies toward Kurdish community. Now, it’s for the Kurdish leaders to decide who will they prefer – a secular Assad regime or the Libyan-type Wahabbi-Salafi fascism.
