Yesterday night, a group of Israeli settlers kidnapped and violently attacked a young Palestinian man near Nablus.
The man, identified as Tareq Ziad Odeily, a 22-year-old from Osarin village, was abducted by settlers who broke into the village in two cars. He was pulled into one of the cars, sprayed on his face with pepper-spray and taken away to a remote place.
In this isolated area he was badly beaten, kicked and punched, and the settlers tried to cut off his leg with axes. As a result of the deep cuts in his leg, he started severely bleeding and the setters left the scene leaving him on the ground.
Using his mobile phone he managed to call his father, explain to him what happened and how he could find him.
Imemc reports that dozens of Palestinians and medics searched the area, and eventually located Odeily. He was then transferred to the Rafidia Hospital in Nablus suffering serious injuries.
Following the kidnapping and killing of the three Israeli settlers, there have been numerous abduction attempts of Palestinians all over the West Bank and Jerusalem.
