Angryarab on Hezbollah

link

According to As'ad Abu-khalil Hizbullah is clearly the chief culprit in yesterday's election loss. The Angryarab who relishes every opportunity to talk ill of that group because this serves him well since he's a contrarian first and foremost and secondly it makes it more difficult for his detractors to claim that he's a Hezbollah sympathizer all the while giving his criticism of American foreign policy - which is spot on all the time - that much more legitimacy.

I couldn't help but notice that he was sort of blaming the Chador (muslim attire for women which covers all their bodies) as the reason for which Hezbollah has scared away their supporters in a post he called Wilayat Al Faqih (which is misleading because it reduces the concept of Wilayat el Faqih to Chador clad women) and today he was blaming the Hezbollah TV station, Al-Manar for their position of appeasement that they take towards Saudi Arabia when he cited one of his sources who tells him that the Hezbollah station ask of its guests not to speak ill of Saudi Arabia.

This is an obvious contradiction. He wants them only to express their minds and opinions in matters which do not conflict with his.
Why do religious (there are non-religious supporters) Hezbollah followers, whether you agree with them or not, have to adopt the practices of their so-called allies in dress and practice for them to be considered open and welcoming and serious about democracy. If people are scared of a woman in Chador, and they vote against you because of it, do you really care to have them as your allies.

I read As'ad first thing every day. Yes UP I go to his web site even before I go to yours...sorry
I remember seeing As'ad on TV many years ago and i thought he was a Zionist agent precisely because of his contrarian practices. He roundly criticised Syria which i thought at the time was a sign of being a Zionst. But with time i learn of As'ad's way..he is clearly no Zionist
