ritalin,
I do not support any faction. I support certain principles and strategies, but not factions. I am a Palestinian nationalist who refuses to be pigeonholed in any given slot.
While in the present circumstance Hamas is preferable to the traitor Abbas/Fayyad PA, Hamas is not the answer in my opinion. As I said many times, the Palestinians need a revolutionary movement to lead a real, tough, long-term struggle; Hamas is not such a movement.

I am sure you know far more about Hamas then I do and I can only guess as to what specifically you are opposed to in Hamas.
From my limited perspective I see imperialists Israel employing a divide and conquer stategy. With all Hamas' failings one should put aside the huge theoretical differences and put into place a concrete practice of unity(theory vs. practice).
One of my mantras is "keep it simple stupid".

ritalin,
But unity about what?
Hamas' inconsistencies and blurred vision are many. Just to give one example:
Hamas rightly opposed the Oslo agreement, which brought the disaster the Palestinians find themselves in now. However, Hamas saw fit to participate in the elections set up specifically by the Oslo agreements!
The key question is how can you set up a "government" and have elections while liberation is now further away than ever! This is putting the cart before the horse. This gave a hint that Hams was merely interested in getting a share of the perceived "power."
Hamas became, whether it liked it or not, a part of the traitorous PA. But the PA, which was created by Oslo, is intended to help the Israeli occupation and to control the Palestinians. This latest killing by the PA of the Hamas leaders was not an aberration; this is a central part of the PA purpose and mission as Dayton makes clear.
So, what kind of unity are we talking about? Unity with Abbas/Fayyad, under Dayton? This is the straitjacket Hamas finds itself in. It keeps repeating this nonsense about dialogue and "reforming" the "security" services in the West Bank. This is nonsense! Those who set up these "services" are not stupid. As Dayton said, his first task was, "transforming the Palestinian National Security Forces into a gendarmerie!" The role of the gendarmerie is to crush the resistance.
So, I find Hamas so muddled in its thinking and not resolute in its actions. There is a lot of empty, meaningless talk, with little vision.

Tony , I appreciate your attempt to explain a complex reality.
You asked me, unity about what?
My answer is unity of the resistance. The PA and Abbas is increasingly irrelevant amongst the Palestinian resistance. As you say they are the gendarme. The resistance must unite around someting concrete. With all Hamas' failings the resistance must unite around Hamas and mend Hamas' failings.

ritalin,
The Donkey calling himself Tony, Claims that he is fond of Hzbullah, and Nasralla. In most of his comment he compares Hamas With Hezbollah and Mashaal with Nasralla. Hamas failed to learn from Hezbullah, Imune to learn etc...
I shall not repeat what I said about that when I was allowed to comment at PP, I shall not repeat what Zahar told Amira Hiss: Don't compare. I only shall reproduce the Donkeys words, use Hezbullah instead of Hamas and Lebanon insread of Gaza to show his Bias, his double standards and how he use Hezbullah to attack Hamas.
But unity about what?
"Hezbollah" inconsistencies and blurred vision are many. Just to give one example:
"Hezbollah" rightly opposed the "Resolution 1559", which brought the disaster the "Lebanese" find themselves in now. However, "Hezbollah" saw fit to participate in the elections set up specifically by the "Usrael and France"
The key question is how can you set up a "government" and have elections while liberation is now further away than ever! This is putting the cart before the horse. This gave a hint that "Hezbollah" was merely interested in getting a share of the perceived "power."
"Hezbollah" became, whether it liked it or not, a part of the traitorous "Lebanese Government". But the "Siniora Government", which was created by "USA", is intended to help the Israeli to control the Lebanon". Disarming Hezbullah, trying to create a Lebanse version of Dyton Army by the "Siniora Government" was not an aberration; this is a central part of the "Siniora Govenment" purpose and missebaneseion as Lebanon's Dayton" makes clear.
So, what kind of unity are we talking about? Unity with "Siniora, Jaajaa and Jumblat, under USA Abassador?" This is the straitjacket "Hezbullah" finds itself in. It keeps repeating this nonsense about dialogue and "reforming" the "security" services in "Lebanon". This is nonsense! Those who set up these "services" are not stupid. As "American" said, their first task was, "transforming the Lebanese National Security Forces into a gendarmerie!" The role of the gendarmerie is to crush the resistance.
So, I find Hezbullah so muddled in its thinking and not resolute in its actions. There is a lot of empty, meaningless talk, with little vision.
Is that hezbullah??
Hezbullah Kicked the ass of southern Lahd army in 2006, stopped the Israeli Invasion in 2006, and kicked the ass of Hariri and Jumblat on May 7, 2008. Hamas did the same, forced Sharon to leave gaza, Kicked the ass of Dayton's army in Gaza. Unfortunately, unlike Palestine, Lebanon is one Piece, and it's neighbour is Assad. And Both are calling for Unity.
What unity?? If the question is valid for Hamas, it should be valid for Hezbullah
Now you may judge about that Pricipled "nationalist who refuses to be pigeonholed in any given slot".
In fact he is Gazan cowards who given up his nation 40 years ago pigeonholed in the zionist slot of hating Islam. His "LOVE" to Hezbullah is a mask used to cover his realty.
