NABLUS, (PIC)-- Families of political prisoners in the West Bank appealed on Thursday to all humanitarian organizations to support their just demands for the release of their sons from former PA chief and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas’s jails.

In a press release, the families stressed the need for ending political arrests for the sake of national reconciliation.

They also called on all Arab and Muslim countries especially Egypt to intervene to end the suffering of their imprisoned sons and get them released on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a related context, Abbas’s militias in the West Bank have reportedly kidnapped three Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas in the districts of Tubas and Tulkarem and stormed and ransacked a mosque in the village of Deir Sharaf, west of Nablus.

In a context related to the crime of killing Fadi Hamdana in Abbas’s jails, the Movement of Hamas rejected the report issued by Al-Haq institution on the circumstances of the death of Hamdana last week, which said that the victim hanged himself.

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said that this report was hasty and full of gaps, and provided perpetrators of the crime with a cover-up.

Spokesman Abu Zuhri added that one of the report’s gaps was that it did not provide a medical explanation for the existence of pieces of glass in the belly of the victim, noting that the report admitted that the results of the laboratory tests conducted on the body were incomplete.

For its part, the Movement of Hamas in the West Bank strongly criticized Al-Haq’s report, saying that it was mostly analytical and descriptive and did not give clear medical data.
