NUSAIRAT, (PIC)-- Dr. Moahammed Al-Hindi, the prominent political leader of the Islamic Jihad, said on Thursday his Movement's rejection of the US-sponsored two-state solution, describing it as the most dangerous scenario to liquidate the Palestinian issue.

Hindi's remarks were made during a speech he delivered during a political forum in the Nusairat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip where he also asserted that the two-state solution pours in favor of the Zionist entity as it would compromise 80% of the Palestinian land in exchange for a demilitarized state on 20% of the occupied Palestinian land.

He said that such solution would finish off the Right of Return of millions of Palestinian refugees forced out of their homeland at gunpoint at the hands of armed Jewish gangs in 1948, and now living in refugee camps inside Palestine and in neighboring Arab countries.

In addition, Hindi explained that the US project would badly affect the Palestinian citizens who remained on the 1948-occupied lands as they would face the nightmare of being kicked out of their homes under the "exchange of land" scheme, warning that the project would give the Israelis the upper hand on the occupied city of Jerusalem and the holy Aqsa Mosque.

Moreover, Hindi warned media outlets not to use the term "two-wings of the country" referring to the West bank and Gaza Strip, asserting that Palestine isn't only the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, but it is, he underlined, the entire historic Palestine from Meddeterianin Sea to the Jordan River that tens of thousands of Palestinian citizens had sacrificed and still are sacrificing their souls and blood for.

"Palestine cannot be reduced to a piece of land in the occupied West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip", underscored Hindi, emphasizing that the Palestinian resistance and the support of the Arab and Muslim peoples would foil that solution.

In this regard, Hindi called in the Ramallah-based PA to stop all forms of coordination and negotiations with the Israeli occupation after it reached a deadlock, warning that the "futile" peace process had scattered energies of the Palestinian people and vanished the dreams and sacrifices of the Palestinian revolution.

Furthermore, Hindi urged the PA to release all political detainees in its jails, saying he doesn’t buy the allegations that the ongoing arrest campaign in the West Bank was at the backdrop of Hamas-Fatah political disputes.

"Those arrest campaigns in the West Bank weren’t at the backdrop of Hamas-Fatah rift, but they were indeed against the Palestinian resistance itself as evident with the arrest of Palestinian resistance fighters from the Islamic Jihad and from Fatah who have nothing to do with the Hamas-Fatah quarrel", Hindi pointed out.

Finally, Hindi stressed that resistance was and still is the ideal path towards victory that would retrieve all usurped rights of the Palestinian people, and would protect the sacred places in Palestine.
