NABLUS, (PIC)-- Local source in the village of Hawwara, to the south west of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, said on Friday that settlers at the Yitzhar colony have started expanding their colony by building new houses on confiscated Palestinian land.

The sources added that this colony is built on lands belonging to the villages of Madama, Burin, Hawwara, Orig, Asira-al-Qibleyya and that the settlers often attack the Palestinian villagers.

On Wednesday around 30 settlers from Yitzhar attacked the village of Asira-al-Qibleyya shooting in the air and terrorising Palestinian villagers and when the youth of the village tried to defend their village by throwing stones at the settlers, the IOF intervened by firing tear gas at the Palestinian youth.

The settlers destroyed a house in the village and uprooted dozens of olive trees.
