BEIRUT, (PIC)-- Ezzat Al-Resheq, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, said Sunday that the German mediator would convey to his Movement Israel’s response to the prisoner swap deal during the coming days.

In a ceremony organized in Beirut to celebrate the anniversary of Hamas’s inception, Resheq stressed his Movement’s insistence on its demands regarding the deal especially the release of resistance fighters who are described by Israel as "dangerous prisoners".

The Hamas official noted that Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit would not see the daylight if Israel did not responded fully to the Palestinian demands.

With regard to the national reconciliation file, he emphasized that Hamas extends its hands to all reconciliation efforts, but away from external interventions.

The official added that Hamas highly appreciates the efforts made by Egypt, but it refuses to sign an agreement which included points not agreed upon.

In a press statement to the information office of Hamas in Gaza, Palestinian political analyst Mustafa Al-Sawaf said Sunday that the US-funded Egyptian steel wall is intended for tightening the blockade on the Gaza Strip as a prelude to pressuring the Hamas leadership.

Sawwaf added that Egypt wants to take revenge on Hamas because of its refusal to sign the reconciliation paper according to the Egyptian vision, noting that the building of this wall was already agreed upon between Egypt and former US president George Bush.

He affirmed that Egypt delayed the wall construction because it had a hope of reaching a reconciliation agreement between the Palestinian rivals according to the Egyptian-American vision, but when its reconciliation efforts failed, it started to build the wall.
