OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has canceled the departure of a military delegation to Britain last week after British authorities could not vouch that the officers would not be arrested, Yediot Ahronot reported on Tuesday.
The Hebrew paper said that Israeli officials were viewing the incident with utmost seriousness, and renewed calling on the British government to adopt necessary legal amendments to prevent recurrence of the incident.
Deputy foreign minister Dani Ayalon said current situation could undermine British-Israeli relations.
British attorney general Baroness Patricia Janet Scotland is currently visiting Israel and is expected to meet with justice minister Yaakov Ne'eman to discuss the issue.
