NABLUS, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has ordered the demolition of Salman Al-Farsi Mosque in Burin village, south of Nablus city, at the pretext of lack of construction permit.
Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrived in the town on Tuesday and handed a number of citizens who were near the mosque an order to stop all construction work.
The citizens expressed utter dismay at the decision that flagrantly violates the Palestinians' freedom of worship.
They asked human rights groups to intervene to prevent the demolition of the mosque.
The mosque is located on the main street of Burin village in the area codenamed C in the Oslo agreements, which necessitates obtaining a construction permit from the IOA.
