OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- IOF troops, at dawn Friday, raided a number of villages to the south of the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil, raided and ransacked homes, according to local sources.
The sources said that IOF troops raided the villages of Beit Awwa, Deir Samet and al-Majd to the west of Dura and started searching homes and sheep farms. The occupation soldiers were assisted by police dogs and had on them a list of names of Palestinian persons, presumably of wanted by the IOF, no arrests were reported though.
Meanwhile, in the Silwan suburb in occupied Jerusalem, local sources that confrontations between local youth and Israeli occupation police took place late Thursday evening. No casualties or arrests amongst the youth were reported.
There are 22 Palestinian homes threatened with demolition by the Israeli occupation in this suburb which lies to south of the Aqsa mosque as part of the Zionist scheme to empty Jerusalem of its indigenous population and tighten their grip on the old city in which the Aqsa Mosque is located.
