Bahar was speaking while welcoming Tuesday at the PLC headquarters in Gaza the European Miles of Smiles 2 convoy, which arrived Monday, led by Turkish activists who were on board the Freedom Flotilla.
For his part, the convoy’s chairman Essam Yousef stressed that the Palestinian cause is just and deserves support, noting that the convoy is “a bright side” for those who reject the occupation.
“There are many relief convoys coming to Gaza in the near future, and preparations are currently underway for the Lifeline 4 convoy, which is expected to arrive next month,” he said, also noting that steps are being made to launch Freedom Flotilla 2, which will include ships attacked in the first Freedom Flotilla.
The movement’s coordinator Nashaat al-Wahidi commented Tuesday that the convoys would undermine the confidence of the Israeli regime and facilitate internationalization of the prisoners' issue.
“We must not leave the arena only for the families of captured soldiers of resistance factions in the Gaza Strip to shed light on their ordeal,” al-Wahidi said, explaining that the prisoners issue is a major headline in the Palestinian struggle.
